 Catch up Sunday
After a Saturday alone, spent out of the house, I have spent most of today catching up on household duties. You know the ones.  Vacuuming the floor, washing clothes, hanging them out, folding the dry ones, washing dishes, cleaning the fireplace, making breakfast, lunch and tea.  BORING.

But hey, that's been my Sunday thus far, and I just looked at the time and it's 4pm.... guess I missed the best part of the day doing housework.
Oh and my football team lost by 2 points!  Sorry deepintought ... next time we will win

A friend messaged me letting me know he was getting a tattoo, gee how I wish my Sunday had one of them included.  I asked him to beam me to where he was, but he'd left that power behind! lol.

Master 5 wanted to go to a friends for a play, but it seems nobody was home today. So he got to stay here with me.  Seemed to get occupied playing Star Wars on the Wii.

Miss 8 has been watching a movie marathon of Charmed Episodes.  Brought back memories for me.  I loved Charmed, especially Cole, played by Julian McMahon.

Finally as you can see, I'm sitting down blogging again.  I think I've done more housework than blogging today, which is usually the case anyway.  But I have to confess I haven't gotten around to my writing assignment.
Here it is folks - Assignment number 12 of 20.  Write a synopsis of a play, then write the first 7 pages of script.
No topic, no subject, easy right?  Well no, actually I'd prefer to be given a topic or subject to work with.
My mind is all over the place, and I can't help thinking what my scenarios would be like in a theatre.  Even though they certainly won't end up there.

It's blue bin night, which is a good thing.  Blue bin is the recylced one for bottles, paper, glass etc.  Next week is Red bin again - I should have started some weeding today so I don't run around crazy next week. Oh well.

Now there is one thing I have left on my to-do list for today, and that is Change the Shower Head.
This one has been pending for oh 6 months or more.
You see I got a free shower head as part of a "save water" campaign the local government has been sponsoring.  I decided early on this was a MAN's JOB.
Not a professional plumber, but the man of the house's job.
So I have been holding off doing it.
After all I've lit fires, mowed lawns, whipper snipped, pool cleaned, fixed doors.
This one is supposed to be done by a man.

Finally I decided, with a little help from a friend, that I was being silly, and I just needed to get stuck into it.
So yesterday I bought a wrench from Bunnings.  It is a 200mm heavy duty wrench.  Highly recommended by the guys working at Bunnings.

I read the instructions on the new shower head, and sized the wrench accordingly.  Got a grip on the old shower head, and proceeded to turn it anti-clockwise as directed.
But do you think I could get the bloody thing to budge??
No chance.  I have tried a few times now - slightly half heartedly, but seriously enough to come back later.
I think I'm going to have to give you an update on this one...

Writing about it has made me determined to go try again.
I guess worse case scenario I will break it.... but we do have a second shower in the house, so
Wish me Luck

Easy ... out

Come on, Easy, BE A MAN! Fix that shower head!

Good luck. Although, I fear if you accomplish this then you will realize for sure that you don't need a man in your life and it'll be a let down to half the Austrailian male population. Oh well, still say you can do it. No problem.

Do I need a man?? No I don't think so.
But do I want a man? ... lets say the jury is still out :)

KP - I know I was very impressed with your achievements.
I just need brute strength for this one.... lol a brain isn't helping, only muscles.
But hey you too have spurred me on.
Seems a little WD-40 might be the trick!

I'll be back.
