Where Is The Love?
Category: Religion and Philosophy
Just in case you don’t know by now, I have a deep spiritual faith. I believe in a creator who made everything that we see. I believe this creator is part of you, me and everything else we interact with.
I got inspired today. I felt the desire to write from my heart about things within my heart because I think these are things that our great and wonderful creator wants me to share with anyone who may be reading what I post.
I believe in a creator who exists within each of us as we are a part of Him/Her and He/She is a part of us. (For the sake of simplicity, although I do not necessarily believe our creator is either male or female, I will use the masculine pronoun in reference just because I am use to doing so.) I also believe that this creator really wants us to understand Him and I also believe that so many people today really do not.
There is an eternal force in the universe and this force is made of love. This force created everything and then said, "It is good". This force is the one I refer to when I speak of the creator.
I want you to understand that our creator is not looking down from above just waiting for you to screw up so that He can hit you with a lightning bolt or some other form of punishment. Love does not do that and our creator is love. The creator does not lust for the blood of those who do wrong, instead He wishes for them to turn their hearts toward Him so that they can share a loving communion with each other.
I have heard people today refer to the return of Jesus Christ and say things like, "I can’t wait until Jesus comes back and destroys all the evil people." Or "I hope so and so burns in hell for what they did" or "I want to see so and so burn in hell for that".
This isn’t love. That is a lust for blood and vengeance. I do not believe in a creator who has a lust for blood and vengeance. I believe in a creator who is the embodiment of love. I believe in a creator who only desires for His creation to love Him as much as He loves His creation.
If only we could realize that our differences don’t mean as much to Him as they do to us. If only we could all truly love the way we are meant to love. There is a selfless unconditional kind of love that only comes from the creator that He wishes for us to share toward each other. This is the kind of love we need to have toward each other to make a difference in this world.
I also believe that only good things come from our creator. When bad things happen it is not because He has caused it. It is because He has ALLOWED it to happen.
If we don’t learn how to truly love each other the way we were meant to - this world is going to see some of the worst times it has ever seen – but do not blame our creator for causing these hard times. We have brought ourselves to this point. We are to blame. Mankind is it’s own undoing.
I believe we can change things if we want to. I believe our loving creator wants us to change things. He always sent His servants the prophets out into the world to warn the world of coming disasters, but like Nineva there is always the provision "unless you turn your hearts back to me". I believe if we could really love each other and love our creator we could change the world.
I don’t believe we are doomed to follow this path we have started down. Our creator has given us freedom to choose what we will do. If we choose to share the unconditional love of our creator with each other then the world could change.
We could change the world one heart at a time. I share His love with you – then you share His love with someone else – and so on and so on.
Share His love. Be His love. Live His love.
