| phone calls and miss-understandings....

WOW....
thats the best way to start this off... I spent about an hour on the phone tonight with the girl from work.... well yeah it was interesting. And might i add I am so glad things worked out the way they did.
So one of my friends at work told her that I thought she as cute and that I was interested in just kinda getting to know her better. (all of that is true i did say those things) But what my good ol' friend added was that knowing me I would not really ask her out in a up front manner but I would probably joke around about it so that if she said no I could blow it off and save face. Then it was added that I was going to see what she had planned surring the holiday weekend. Well that was true as well but what I had told my "friend" was that I may see what she is doing and ask her out for lunch and a movie on monday while we were both off. So my "friend" tells her that I may be asking her to go do something with me over the holiday weekend, and then builds me up s this nice guy who will take care of everything and that I can be trusted.... well any of you that have read my last two posts now know how I got where i am lol and I know realize why she jumped on it so quickly lol. I still find it odd that a woman would so readily go out of town with a guy she hardly knows. I come well recomended and I have my papers and my shots but it still seems odd to me.
So after I figure out how all this had happened I did not have the heart to tell her i had not planned to take her to the beach with me. I mean can you imagine how bad she would feel. Hell i feel bad and me and my little friend had a talk and i told her to stop doing me favors lol.
So yes i am taking her to the beach with me, and we are sharing a room all thought it has seperate beds. She was a little unesy about that which i do not blame her, I told her i would do my best to find her her own room but she told me not to worry about it. we would make due. Then she asked me how much moey she should bring... that she had not planned on makking any trips other than to see her family and had not really put back money to go anywere. she explained that she normally planned for stuff like this that she kept her self on a strict budget. I told her not to worry about it, that most every thing was compted anyway. She did not like the idea of me paying for everything but i smoothed it over.
So it looks like now the smoke has cleared i am headed to the beach with a girl from work greatly to the dismay of the sirens... that in itself is worth it.
Ohh and about the phone conversation... she opened up a little, she was suprised that a guy from the front office would look at a girl like her... that bothered me. I told her that she is flesh and blood just like the rest of us, an from the girls i see in the front office so far she had more class than any of them. And that I am not special by no means lol i mean come on my name is Doug lol its a comon name and used in a Kids cartoon for goodness sake... i got a laugh out of that one. We talked about nothing and everything... it was nice, no pressure no games... just talk.
I told her that I had alot of work to do before I go out of town, but she can feel free to call me if she wants I would make time to talk. But i may find myself working later to stay caught up. She said she understood and has heard that about me... and that she just may make it a point to call so that I will get a break lol i thought that was sweet. nothing sexual no real flirting just nice easy conversation with no undertones. I liked it. well i had to update you and now its 11pm and get up in 5.5 hours....
sleep well thoughts.... oh yeah and smile!!

good doug, I'm excited for you!!! we must have details of how the weekend went!?! didn't someone say in a previous comment, a "bloggable" event? yes it was shemelts to give her credit on that excellent phrase!!!

Awww Doug, that's great, she sounds really down to earth and really nice.
I hope your week-end with her is great.

WOW! Doug found someone special. Im happy for you buddy... you deserve it. I recommend putting some Marvin Gaye "Lets get it on" and get some wine. hahhahaha.

Doug..I am thinking you are onto something with this chick. Relax and enjoy and be yourself. Yes indeedy..make it a bloggable event..We will be waiting on the details.
