I wanted to update everyone on how this is going so far, I must say I am getting much quicker responses than I thought I would. Thoughts.com and its members are a very special group of people.
My training is going well but I had to take 2 days off in a row, just a little swelling in my knee. It is to be expected because it has been a while but once I get it all worked out it will be full steam ahead.
This ride is going to be special to me in a lot of ways, not only are we able to help a lot of those people who have MS. But we are coming together as an online community and doing things to better the world around us. And as I have seen with the generosity from those at thoughts.com, One Love is not just something they say but something they live.
Through Bia we have a part of Sydney with us at all times. And honestly it was because of Bia’s love for her sister that I wanted to do this. Not just for thoughts but for her and her family. So that they know that people have not forgotten, and so that we can share this with as many people as we possibly can. Bia’s love gave the inspiration which helped me give birth to the idea, Bia’s love helped it grow, and Bia’s faith in me and trust in me to be able to do this is why all of you are able to support this cause in this way.
I want to personally thank each and every one of you for supporting this idea, you help give me the strength I will need to hold up my end of the bargain.
Now to the matter of the Web page on the official MS web sight. I know with times the way that they are that not everyone can donate. I do not expect ANYONE to attempt to do something they really can not do. But I ask you only two things, if you’re able to post a link to the MS page on your profile so that we may spread the word as far as we can. Share it with your boss, your co-workers, your churches and your friends. This I can probably say may not be the biggest amount raised by far, but I will almost bet that it will be the most global and wide reaching net they have ever seen. We are not just a blog sight… we are not just a bunch of people sitting behind computer screens. We have cried together, we have laughed together, and we have been creative together, we are a global family. At least that is how I feel. And I kind of went off topic… I just ask two things… share this with others… and please send your prayers, your good feelings, well wishes, whatever you want to call it to Bia’s family and to all the families who have had issue with this terrible disease.
Smile… Remember someone… somewhere needs to see it.
Link to the MS web page dedicaited to Sydney I have a picture of her and I have written a few things. This is also a direct link where you can donate and it goes directly to the MS society and it keeps track of donations and how close I am to my goal:
