Men... Fathers... Sons... Guys... What in the hell is going on today? Everytime I go out to eat, or go to the movies, I watch people. I see how yonger couple interact, I see how the yonger ladies act, and then I watch and see what the guys to. Now I wont get on the young ladies of this day and age, well just because lol I am old enough to know better lol. But fellas, come on give me a break, I was at Applebees waiting for a seat, this couple walks up to the door and the girl stands there, the guy was like what's going on? Arent you going in? she said, are you going to get the door for me? Ok the next part floored me, I allmost said something, but I held it back. The guy said and sorry but these are his exact words, " Sh*t b*tch you should be getting the door for me, I am the one paying for dinner, I don't care who drove." OMG!! WTH are the men in this world teaching thier sons. Let me break it down old school for you... this is what my Grandfather tought me and this is what all men should be tought. And if we folowed this then maybe just maybe these Little Ladies (and I use the word ladies loosly) that I see running around just might start to act like ladies again.
If you ask a girl out!! You Pay...
If she askes you out!! You pay... unless she insists you go dutch... then you say ok, but only if you let me buy you dessert. (and I mean real dessert, not sex)
ALLWAYS be a Gental man, let her sit first, open her door, LOOK AT HER EYES. not her chest. NEver cut her off in the middle of a story even if you just thought of something. And actually lysten. Just these few things I have laid out will get you so much farther than any: baggy pant, hat sideways, grabbin at your crotch hey baby, ever will. And don't let me get started on "Grills" Chrome for your teeth? come on.
This is just a short rant, a pet pieve of mine, I hate to see guy so dissrespectfull. I cant wait till me daughter brings home her first date, if his pants are baggy and I can see his boxers... if he has a set of grillz in his mouth, I will send his lil punk ass back to his house, tell em to put some clothes on that fit and take that crap out of your mouth, then come back and pick her up and you better call me sir when you come back! Believe that... Man o Man the world is going down hill fast!
I think that enough... I am sure I will take a beating over this one. I have big shoulders I can handle it.

Bull about taking a beating I am with you 100%. Respect goes a long way. I will have a talk with my fourteen year old tonight about respecting young women. The proper ways to behave. That is something I just assumed a boy would catch on to or something but you are correct somebody has to teach them this or how will they know. Right? Stay Safe.

If only ALL men and boys had learned to treat women and girls with respect! However, as with teaching a child anything, the success rate is much higher if begun at a very early age!
Your closing paragragh reminds me of when our daughter was beginning to date......my husband half jokingly, told her that if she ever brought home a young man with an ear ring in his ear, he would rip it out! I'm not sure whether or not he really would have, but, 'thank goodness!', we never had to find out! :)

This was takken better than I thought it was going to so maybe I will try my luck and tell you guys my thoughts on little ladies... I am a man so it is scary any time we try and cross that gender line, but so much I see really hurts my heart. So if you are interested look for that blog in a few days. I do this mainly at **work** lol but I may log on at home and go into it a little.

I don't get the grill thing either, even though the year I graduated, both our prom queen and king were wearing them. All I can say is it is a stupid fashion style that their future kids are going to get a good laugh out of. As for the other stuff, a good deal of the time in this country young men aren't being shown that they should be leaders. A lot of times their dad's aren't even there. It does not justify these young men, they should no better, but all we can do is set our best example, and show them what leadership and respect is about.

I is hard to expect people to know things that they are not taught... Would a canible child want to eat a human it as an infant they where raised in a vegitairan home? Beef maybe , but I doubt he would look at little Suzy and think, mmmmm... BBQ.
With no father and only MTV and BET to raise our children they do what they see... back in the day, there was little house on the prairym, my three sons, lassie.... I mean kids who watched TV at least got a sence of what a man was supposed to be. Now that get to look a half a buck... I mean Fifty cents or um Fiddy cent lol and Kid rock... M&M... Mickael "Dog killer" Vick wh siffles and says... because I my upbringin I did not realize it was really that wronge. What ever. Our chilren are in bad shape becasue we lack the time and partience to controll their lives as parents... Anyone remembet Nick at night the old school version."Fish Heads, Fish head, Rolly polly Fish heads...." My mom got freaked out about that... and now that is mild

Your blog is one that has truly touched my heart. I completely agree with all that you have said. It appears to me that the "parents" are too busy at work and their own social lives that they forget to raise their kids. The young male adults of today are nothing but embarassing. Girls aren't too good either. I mean, when you stand in line for the movies, you see girls wearing this tiny little skirt that barely covers anything, you see them hugging, kissing and letting the guys touch them all over. Now, I'm not saying that's the bad part...if they're affectionists, so be it. The girls are to blame for the simple reason that they allow the young men to treat them in an unlady-like manner. I know my friend, for instance, laughs when a gentleman thinks about opening the doors for her, and continuously insists on paying for dinners even when he asks her out. It's quite sickening.
