| Ugly Is Not Only Skin Deep
|
|
|
Beautiful people...
They have it so good.
They are treated special.... and they usually get first pick in all of the love interests.
They get ahead if they use their looks right...it is just that way in this world.
They are admired and hated at the same time.
The thing is...we are fooled!
People are dying to be beautiful....look at the plastic surgery hurricane blowing through society.
Some spend thousands of dollars to look like someone else.
That is a tragedy....to not be able to look in the mirror and think you are beautiful.
Physical beauty fades....very quickly I might add.....shallowness abruptly turns to acceptance of reality.
We all age and lose our beauty....our skin sags...our hair color disappears.....the aging process.
It is a test I tell you....if you are vain enough, like me to worry about such things...a test of character.
We best prepare for a rude awakening.
Looks may get you places....but character keeps you there.
To love yourself....
When you love yourself....others see it......and it is the impression it gives about you...
THINK YOURSELF BEAUTIFUL~
Just reading the first two lines of any blog.....I can tell if that person is comfortable with themselves.
I hate when people say that they are ugly...especially women!
Any woman can be made up to look beautiful....makeup is magic.
It is just the way you look at yourself.....do you think you are beautiful?
Someone can be as gorgeous as gorgeous can be on the outside....and still be ugly.
Ugliness and Beauty ......go to the soul.
In the end...all we will have left is who we are.
What are you?
Don't hate me because I am Beautiful!
Do you get my drift?
Beauty comes from within.
True beauty comes from the heart.
Next time you are gazing into the mirror and admiring yourself, like I do......look deeper.
Ugly goes to the soul!

I don't hate you because you're beautiful. Please don't hate me because I'm not so beautiful on the inside but I do know that my insides shine.
I'm sure that yours do too.

I will not hate you because you are beautiful.
I love beautiful people...that is 'truly beautiful' people.
We could all shine if we wanted to.
I like your blue thunder icon.
Blue is beautiful.
Thanks for the comment.

Hey I liked your comment about the hereafter, maybe you should devote a blog to it. You are a very wise woman, you know.

Ugly that penetrates the core can only be disguised by looks for so long, but the true nature of the beast always rears its head.

Beauty and Ageing! Ah.... We are all beautiful to someone. The important thing is to see your own beauty and love yourself. How right you are DS Beauty may get you there, but character keeps you there.
One day we all look in the mirror and see someone different, older than we thought. I have decided that I have earned every laughter and sorrow line on my face. I am proud of everyone of them. My Grandson thinks I am beautiful, but old and thats OK!

Bede--
With age comes wisdom...
and I would never choose youth over wisdom.
The beauty of the mind always outlasts youthful physical beauty...so why do so many prefer to look 25 by surgery...?
Because this world is so shallow..that is why.

Our true character always comes out.
Especially under pressure.
Out of the squeezed fruit, flow it's juices.

The hereafter?
Hmmm.
That is a hard one!
My theory on that....
Is so my own interpretation.
It caused a religious war with my extended family...hehe.
Maybe I will.
Them there are fightin' words!

Yes buying beauty is what they think they are doing.
In all reality...they are trying to buy away low self-esteem.
Even after all the surgery...some still feel the need for more.
I saw this one lady who hated so much how she looked...that her goal in life was to look like Barbie (the doll)....and sure enough....thousands of dollars later...
She does look like Barbie...
and her statement was...she needed a couple of more things worked on.
She already had her eyes, her nose, her lips, cheek implants, breast implants, tummy tuck, liposuction....on and on..and she still did not feel beautiful.
Funny thing is..she had a before picture of herself, and she was already a very pretty blonde woman.
It baffles me.

I am so guilty of cosmetics.
I paint my face for life's war on a daily basis.
You are right.
I feel naked without my makeup.
It is a protection mask.
I have been doing that every single day since I was 12.
I do not think anyone lets their guard down completely in public, but I sure try.
It would be lovely to live in a world that had no self-esteem barriers.
We need to learn to hold our own.
That simply means...
To work with what we got.
I think confidence is much more attractive than the physical.
I also prefer intellect over a perfect hairline, or hard rock abs.

I think we all need Psychotherapy to tell you the truth.
SO many of us are confused.
So much static in the brain.
I think we make life way too complicated.
We were meant to be born, to know love, and then to die...which I believe is the door to knowing love personifed.
Simple.
But there is so much static in our brain waves!
Maybe it is leaking out of all of the satellites and sound waves roaming through space.
Too much static!

I don't think myself ugly. I don't even have to look in the mirror to see myself; because i don't look at that bed-head in the morning, or the mascara running down my face after i've been crying-no, i look within. Each time. And everytime i do; i see what a kind, gentle, beautiful person i really am. I just wish everybody else would feel this way too.

So, going by the paradox theory, if we didn't think at all our lives would be incredibly simple...mmmm...that does seem to explain a few people I know.

You do have a philosopher's thought processes.
Especially, if you understand what thought processes are...and I am positive you do.
We could sum of life with that word you threw out there.
Paradox simply means- A statement that seems to conflict with common sense, or to contradict itself, but may be nevertheless TRUE.
Life is full of them.

Yes..Morrissey has a song called...The World is Full of Crashing Bores.
We become very boring if we do not think at all.
We have to think...just not about so many things at the same time.
We all need to focus on something.
We need to find a passion.

Really?
Do you know much about it?
Teach me about Yin and Yang...
Maybe you can do a blog.
My son and I have kind of an obsession with Asian people.
We both like their soft spirits...they seem humble and noble to us for some reason.
I cannot put my finger on it.
Tell me of it.

Brain dead people really are dead in a sense, aren't they?

I have to go to work now, but I will tell you what i know about Yin and Yang.
For now let's just say they are opposites that exist together. We have to have the bad so that the good may exist also and visa versa. riiiinnnggg...class is over for the day. xx

My mother always told me that beauty was a clown. I never fully understood her reasoning because shed often shuffle her decks of cards mismatched. Strange one she was. Though i dont know why i say 'was' because she infact still 'is.'
"Looks may get you places....but character keeps you there."
i thought that a very interesting strand of information, very true.
and since descartes was meantioned above, and i do think he was, i will spread this.
People think beauty is a physical or metaphysical sort of...thing, thats a very scientific word you might have to look it up, but i think of it more as an emotion, wether stimulated by outside forces or by inner ones. A poem isnt beautiful because its there, its beautiful because you comprehend it...hmmm i need to reword that...but all in all when your happy your happy and when your beautiful your beautiful.
that might not make any sense, but im no plato.
this comment was long, so it must be important; right?
the semicolon adds some needed flare. ill stop now
