In romantic love, sometimes, people get lured away by someone else by lust.
Wanting to have sex with someone is not love.
Look at the pornography industry, they have sex, surely they do not love each other.
We all face temptation, every single one of us do, if we truly love someone we resist it.
Although, some of us fall for the temptation, and find out, it was only lust.
That temptation alone, sometimes makes us realize that we loved another...the original one that we thought we fell out of love with.

| Loved your honesty in this blog. It has made me think alot about love this morning. I agree, we never fall out of love with someone whom we once loved. I still love the father of my children who I am now divorced from, but don't want him back. Love is a very complicated thing. It's like annulling a marriage of 27 years to marry another person. Annullment is a man-made thing. We can't and shouldn't annul anything. They are life experiences and I think our hearts are huge. We have room for all types of loves. Let's not limit ourselves, but grow larger hearts. |

| You couldn't have spoken more true words!! Everyone I have ever truly loved, I still love dearly. The relationships I had in the past, that I lost that "love" for, I can look back and realize it never was true love. I had a once in a lifetime kind of "true Love" many, many years ago. That man will remain a part of me...who I am today. I love who I've become, partly due to the love we shared. But I was young, selfish, and didn't understand he wanted FOREVER, and I blew it. When I say, a "once in a lifetime" kind of true love, what I mean is...you can never LOVE the same way again. I love my husband now, but in a differnt way as my past love. The love of my past, is eternal, deep and part of my soul. My love in the present, is steady, strong, and full of purpose. Love...is always eternal. It lives with us, becomes part of us...a special piece of our souls puzzle. Beautiful new picture. God Bless! |

I disagree, surely one who wants to break a forever promise, has surely stopped loving someone.
Love would not abandon for reasons of self gratification.
Love is a sacrifice.
A sacrifice of self.
Love ...loves through all things.
I have proof, I lived it.
I surely stopped letting myself love my husband when I left him.
I loved my ego more, and I wanted my own way, because he refused to fulfill all of my desires.
Love is a noun, as well as a verb.
You do love, as well as embrace it.
Tread lightly on that valve that releases love, because at a moments notice it can open up again, and the one you closed off in heart....
May just be the one you decide to love again, and it may be too late.

I agree, we never stop loving someone we truly loved.
Being with someone sexually has nothing to do with love.
Sex is a bodily function, and love is what makes it sacred.
I love others, but I can only be married to one.
Just because I cannot be married to someone, does not take the love away.
Love is the greatest entity in this world.
It has no boundaries.
Truly, I love many men, truly love them, yet, I only give myself sexually to my husband.
Sex does not make love more special.
Love is equal in all forms.

Like with one of my closest friends, she betrayed me, my feelings of trust in her changed, I no longer trust her, yet, I still love her very much.

there was a time when i really believed that you couldnt fall out of love, i still believe it in fact, but i know the feelings i used to feel for a certain person were not love or i wouldn't feel nothing for that person now, so i know now that i wasn't in love to start with, maybe obsessed or scared to be alone, but not in love.
I am very guilty of using the word love to readily, i love jaffa cakes, i love scrubs....thats silly now i think of it, i am laughing now, i like those things, i may even be a little passionate about them (well jaffa cakes anyway) but i am not in love with them
