 Dreams
Dreams are very convincing sometimes.

I wake from mine at times in a pouring sweat.

Our minds use imagery and thoughts that we have had during the day..to create dreams.

Psychology gives much attention to dreams.

Our dreams can sometimes act out our waking thoughts.

Our dreams are a way of expressing what we cannot express when we are awake.

I have studied Psychology and dream interpretation because of my lucid dreaming.

It is going on 4 years since I started my ........FIGURE OUT MY DREAMS ...quest.

Scripture even speaks of dreams ....and God did use dreams to guide and warn us.

There are two types of dreams.

Good dreams and nightmares.

Both are like living in a different world when we are asleep, yet we are safe at home in bed sleeping.

I have come to this conclusion.

Dreams are like lil' movies in our head.

Sometimes a thriller...sometimes a horror flick...sometimes a grand dream of mystical happenings.

No matter what type they are....they are only dreams.

They cannot hurt you.

They are there to help you choose a path to think on when you wake from them.

They make you aware of fears you may have, or goals you want to reach in life.

The best dreams are the ones when you are awake.

Some of my best day dreams are of being a good mother, being a good friend, to show love in a dark world, to be a good wife, and to enjoy my life .

Dreams....are your way of expressing deep emotions.

Reality is living the dream of truly enjoying life.

Feizhoujeep-..
My dreams are so real, my dreams are as if I am awake.
I know that I am dreaming while I am still dreaming.
I do really fantastic things in my dreams, beacause I know that I am dreaming.
I wake up from some of them all sweaty...like I was really running or flying..or whatever activitiy I was doing in them.
That is what waking from my dreams in a pouring sweat means.
Reality is living the dream of truly enjoying life?- That means that all of us would like to have reality (our actual life)....to be filled with joy.
We call it the American Dream.
We all wish we could live a prosperous and happy life.
I believe we can at all times.
In our thinking.

Yes Di,
I agree ...dreams can shock you.

Yes, there are good dreams and nightmares, but you forgot to mention that there are also day-dreams, guided imagery and pathworking. You can use your mind to create your reality. We all do it all the time.

Princess4life-..
It was all a dream.
Just a dream.
Maybe this life is a dream...and we are all having the same DREAM.
And when we close our eyes to sleep forever in death...we will awake in the best dream we ever had...and never have to wake up again.
You just inspired my analogy of Death.

scotslad60-..
I mentioned day dreams...they are what gets me to clean my house.
I daydream all day long that I am a good wife, and mother. hehe.
I liked what you said...
We can use our minds to create our reality!
That is how I have such good days.
I think myself content.

"Reality is living the dream of truly enjoying life." That's beautiful LftH, I hope everyone stops and thinks about that one. I wouldn't equate it to the American dream though since it has seemingly become dependent on how much money we make. Maybe we should call it the Freedom of Soul Dream or something. xx

Oo...I like that Paul.
Freedom of Soul Dream ...includes all people.
We did see what happened to the American Dream..now didn't we?

Dreams are nothing more then dreams…I would have to decline that statement. I and a few others that I know of…our dreams are real…very real. I never remember the cruel ones, but I am left with the scars in their wake. I sometimes wake with gashes in my back and body – scratches, deep ones where my limbs cannot even reach. There is nothing sharp in my room, and I keep all my knives inside drawers and closets – that are closed. Some people have the unfortunate reality of having their dreams invaded – in which our pain in dreams, become pain while we are awake. I have seen a girl wake up from every dream with slashes from knives across her body…slashes that are shallow, but slashes none the less….I know they are not products of home abuse because I taught her how to combat those dreams…eventually solving the problem.

There are things many do not understand – Just be glad you do not have to deal with them. Enjoy your mind while it is yours.

Dreams are just dreams.
I did not add my spiritual beliefs about dreams because...
I am awake in my dreams.
Things have tried to harm me in my dreams...but they could not touch me.
Demons and monsters of sorts.
To be honest, this blog was for a friend of mine who has been dreaming of me nightly.
I do not want her to fear them.
This may sound strange..but she is having the same dream as I have been having.
But in my dreams...I am invisible.
She can see me in hers.
I do believe God uses dreams to guide us...and darker sorts use them to haunt us.
I do not believe anything in my dreams can hurt me..they have tried...and I cannot be touched in them.
It is interesting - your story of your dreams....but there is a covering of protection that can guard us.
God has not given me the spirit of fear..but of love, power...and a sound mind.
Dreams are nothing more than dreams...I can say that, because I understand dreams very well.
I also believe Dreams are a window.
A window to our minds...and to a world we cannot see with our natural eyes.
Eyes of faith can conquer any evil force that may try to bind us.
I am one who can say...I fear nothing.
Not even death.
Because I believe death is merely going to sleep...and waking in a marvelous dream...one we will never awake from again.

Do you ever take control of situations in your dreams?
Posted by  bede  on 2007-09-16 13:52:39

bede-..
Yes I do.
I can even think scenes and they appear at will.
It is sort of like I have control over all things in them.
I have not always dreamt this vividly...just in the last 5 years ...I have felt awake in my dreams.

Life,life and life.
Then dreaming...
Just like I was writing inspiration down on the white paper.
We shouted crazyly,we screamed in desperation; We also smiled, sometimes we cryed; We did anything unexpected;we...
We love our sweat dreams;Nighmares become hazy...

Thanks for the most wisedom and bright torch for a lost heart in the dark ...
Thanks...

You are welcome friend.
Dreams and life.
Dreams are just what our eyes see when they are closed..we see the world we live in when they are open.
Even a blind man can see in his dreams.

Maybe this life is a dream...and we are all having the same DREAM. That is a thought that has passed thruogh my mind many a time. The dreams that truly mean something, whether straight forward or abstract are the ones that I remember when I wake. They give me something to think about. Some I can figure right away bujt others I must wait for the meaning to become clearer over time whether in another dream or some other way. I like dreams, they make me interesting. I don't think any two people no matter how similar they are have the exact same dreams. Each of us experience things at different times in our lives therefore dreams make us interesting becase they are just as unique as every one of us.

TheWanderer-..
True..our dreams were similar, not exactly the same.
Dreams are a very interesting subject.
They make us face things sometimes that we would not even admit while awake.
Mine do that to me.
They test my character to the deepest level.
