Some people think it's weird that I love Mondays, but I do. It might be because Monday is a slower day at the church and I can get things done that I've left from last week. It might be because there are usually people around and I can talk with them. I don't know why I love Monday, but I do! Yesterday's snow kept me home all evening. I never stay home. I had fun just hanging out with Couper though. I'm so blessed by my dog.
Today I met Christ when I went to the travel clinic with Rebecca and Kirk. I was scared. How weird, right? I mean I'm 27. I remember when I had to have a shot in middle school and I cried for like two weeks. Then it was over before I knew it and I'd made way too big a deal about the whole thing. Well...the same thing happened today, of course! It was no big deal. The ladies we talked to were so compassionate and excited for our journey to Haiti. I think they understood how important our trip will be. So I met Jesus there, in these two nurses. And I saw Jesus in Rebecca and Kirk who didn't make fun of me, but kept me laughing even while I was getting shots! Thanks you guys!
I also saw Christ's prescence tonight during our first Lent Bible Study. There were 22 people there! WOW! We talked about Peter and how even in denying Christ he met an unfathomable forgiveness. He did become "the Rock" of the church. How vast must be the forgiveness and love of our Lord! Thank Goodness!
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
