 Here it goes
They always say write about what you know.... so here it goes.

I work in an office doing paper work.  Since the new year it has been really slow.  Most days I am worried that the "powers of be" will figure out that don't really need me and let me go.  However, I have been here a year and so far no pink slip yet.  While I work for an international company and there are like three hundred people in my office complex, I spend 90% of my time with just 7 people.  There are also a couple of main people who are in and out all the time and there are a couple of people that I like to visit every now and than.

Introducing the "Super Seven Team"

It's more like to teams, We are two seperate teams that deal with different thing, but we are in the same area and we tend to use each other as sounding boards.  I have come up with a name for each of these people that I think reflects either their physical or emotional character.

1) Deskgirl  (Me)
I am an administrator.  So I am at the bottom of the barrel here in this world.  I do all the shit work :O), but on the flip side I also hear all of the shit thats going on in the office.  Let me tell you, some of this stuff the soap writers couldn't even come up with.  It can be very entertaining at times.

2) The Dad
The dad is in a management position.  However, he is one of those good people who are easy to get along with, as long as your doing your work.  If you are a slack ass, he will eat you alive.  Everyone always goes to him for answers to all questions, even if it doesn't have anything to do him.  He will always point you in the right direction.  He is a good laugh, but only when the time is right.  He isn't that good of a public speaker.  He perfers to have disscussion gourps instead of making speaches.

3) The Stress Ball
Seems to be always stress to the max.  If isn't something at work than its something at home.  She is one of the strongest people I know (next to my nan and mom).  She works her fingers to the bone all of time.  A really good person, with a really big heart.  I think that she many need someone to talk to.  We have heart to hearts a lot.  She has told me some pretty private things and I tell her things that I don't tell my friends as they are sometimes to close to the situation.  But I do think that she may need some therapy, just to work through things from her past.

4) The Stick Man
Okay I have to get this off my chest.  If you are talking to him, his response will always be "Well My question to that is....."  You could be talking to him about anything, and you don't have to ask him a question.  He always starts with that.  It drives me up the wall.

5) The Cuss Queen
This one is more than the cuss queen.  In any given sentence there will be more cuss words than actual words.  Anything and everything gets this girls acted up and there is usually no way of getting her to calm down.  I am not sure why she would stay at a job that gets her so worked up.  Maybe that is just the way she is.  The other big thing with her is that she is obessed with weight.  She is a little on the bigger side, but man or man she drives me up the wall. I would never want to be her daughter.  All she talks about is how she tells her daughter about her weight (who is also on the heavier side) and she always ask how I can stay the size I am.  I am only average size and have gained a good ten pounds since starting this job.  I tend to eat when people start talking about weight and what sizes people are or should be.  I really don't like the subject at all.

6)  The Fixer
He is a very nice person.  He is one of those people who wants to fix everything that is going wrong in the world.  Sometimes he cares to much.  His caring usually distracts him from his actual job, and therefore he barley gets anything done at all.  He also ends up wanting to have his hand in every cookie jar to try to make sure everyone is doing good.  I always think that he has the wrong job.  He is always trying to fix whats bugging the Cuss Queen at the moment, however i think that is an impossible job.

7) The Young Pup
He is the youngest person on our team (next to me).  He is reminded of this a lot.  I usually think they point out that little fact too much.  He is smart and does a really good job.  He is a hard worker and is an easy going guy.  However, he is easily swayed to anothers point of view.  Example..... We have to visiting people her in our office and they are both rude and mean.  They make fun of everyone and everything.  He has started to copy their ways.  However, being rude is not usually something he is.  I know I know he still has growing to do, but I just hate to see good people turn bad.

So that is the super 7.  Over the next month our teams will expand and we already have the two "green goblines" moving in here this week.  They are the rude guys that are changing the "Young Pup"
