| Jesus On The Grill |
One time I saw a homeless lady get hit by a car in St Louis. She was walking across the highway pushing her shopping cart that was full of clothes I guess. The car that hit her was a white pick up truck full of college aged guys who were popping their heads out of the windows and shrieking drunken battlecries at passing cars. They didn't even notice her. She was expendable I guess in the eyes of society, invisible because they didn't even slow down when they creamed her.
I'll never forget the sound, if I had a heart it would have broke but instead it echoed that crunch. She flew over the hood of the truck and the shopping cart went flying through the air with all of her worldly possessions a twisted knot of aluminium it would have been awesome if it didn't cost a life I guess. When the police came that's when everyone got sad. I was shocked to see that no one really cared. The little ants that they are need to be told how to feel just as much as I do.
She was a forgotten person, a jesus who suffered for the sins of overpriveledged assholes
The guys drinking the truck kept right on driving, as far as I know they didn't get caught. So the point of this little rant was this. Should I feel bad for not feeling bad or should the people who don't have an excuse?
