Vanity

Stella stood long and tall, a willowy silhouette in her dove grey chiffon designer dress and diamond back snake skin stiletto heels. An emerald studded watch band glinted blue from her dainty wrist in the bright afternoon sunlight as Stella raised her hand to hail a cab. She was late for her massage appointment and worried fighting the congested city traffic would make her miss it altogether. Stella so looked forward to her weekly visits to the exclusive spa, certain it was the only thing short of plastic surgery that would help keep her youthful appearance fresh and beautiful. Being late only caused anxious worry lines that would require extra time at the spa, buried under a facial to smooth the tiny wrinkles from the delicate skin around her eyes and mouth. She would spend every penny her husband could earn to keep her looks and she was worth every cent spent!
