I’m a Dave Barry wanna-be. Okay, not technically--I don’t want to be a guy and I certainly don’t want to be ten years older (give or take a few years…not quite sure how old Mr. Barry is, but I believe he’s somewhere in his fifties…) I want to write like Dave Barry! Which is truly a vast improvement for me--I used to want to write like Stephen King, but now all that horror stuff just terrifies me and leaves me extremely paranoid so that I can’t sleep at night and I’ve got enough trouble getting to sleep these days without self-induced hysteria, so not going down the horror writing path at all anytime soon. Humor-I love to make people laugh. And Dave is one of my all time favorite humor writers! He’s simply hysterical. I love how his mind wanders and flips the most mundane subject into something hilariously ridiculous-I want to do that. So, I will blog and keep at it, honing my humor skills hoping to make someone out there chuckle and snort. Life is short, you gotta laugh!
