I just got diagnosed with diabetes today and thought that this disease has been dormant in my system for the past 4 or 5 years. I beat the blood tests for the last six years but this time it came up positive. Now i have new pills to take, blood tests to do and I have to see a diabetic nurse a couple of times a week. I'm taking it pretty well though although it makes me a little bit angry that i beat it for so long. My diet won't have to change that much though since i already gave up soft drinks and junk foods - i'm still losing weight and i hope to be down to 200 lbs. in a couple of months.

When I was diagnosed with diabetes I aslo couldn't believe that I hadn't been diagnosed earlier. I wasn't sure how it got so out of control seeing how my diet didn't change all that much from when I wasn't diabetic to being diabetic. I know of how much of a struggle I have been having to try and control my diabetes. Especially when I see all my friends and co-workers eating what ever they want and they don't have to worry about what food they put into their mouths. I just wanted to say I understand your anger about being diabetic an how much being diabetic changes things. And good for you for losing weight. I hope you reach your goals.
