We live in a changing world. One were freedom of expression run's free in all directions. But such freedom is constantly limited by emotional boundaries instilled by those who fear change, free will, and something different than they know.
The country of America, which at one point in time was a great country, was founded on the ideal of freedom of religion. Yet the very same country wishes to limit the freedom that it's people has of religion. Daily a large number of people in America are discriminated against for their beliefs in religion, The Pagans. People who practice witchcraft and call themselves witches.
These people are called satanists, devil worshippers, evil, dark, disgusting, horrid, and many horrible insults. This hate is beset into people's mind through fear. They fear what they do not know. And I being a Pagan myself stand and say that this is wrong. Our Pagan children who do not know Christianity do not hate you out of fear. So why should you hate us out of fear. We do not harm you or your families. We do not hate you or your families.
We as witches are taught to love, trust, invoke peace, and create joy. All great and wonderful things. But for some reason those of mainstream religion can not get past the part of we calling ourselves witches to understand we have the same ideals. You have your ten commandments, we have our moral compass and the Wiccan Rede: "Do what thou will, if ye harm none!" It means do what you want as long as you don't hurt somebody in the process.
So I urge you...look past the fear and hate. Take a step back and truly look, you will see that we are just like you. And we can be friends, no matter what our religious beliefs are. After all we are all human, that should be enough to create brotherhood between all of us.

I myself am a huge lover of God, but find great fault in organized religion. One of my best friends is wiccan .... a shining example of peace, love and beauty! So, Blessed Be friend!
