There’s this one boy I know
Near studied the child in front of him with cleverly concealed unease.
He reminds me too much of you
He was tallish and a little too skinny. He looked feminine and fierce and did not shy away from the inspection.
He’s a blondie just like you, but now I see a little difference
Near nodded one and told him to sit. The boy did but at his own leisure, stretching out like a cat in the sun.
His eyes are black, yours were bright blue
Near tells the boy his name and the boy just stares. Finally, he sighed and speaks.
His name is Meitro
They talk and just as the boy is about to leave, he turned and his eyes flash to blue.
“It’s been nice seeing you again Near.” He pauses.
“L’s proud of you, you know.”
I know I won’t see him again
“I miss you Mello,” Near mumbles to the empty room.
Don’t make this the last time I see you too
“See you soon Near.”
