In case you haven't noticed I'm sort of on a Jack Nicholson roll here. Another highly acclaimed movie that I hadn't seen was Chinatown. Unfortunately I was rather dissapointed with this film. I was expecting an older version of the movie LA Confidential, since they were both detective movies, set in 1930's LA. The film simply couldn't hold my attention. It moved too slowly and there was a lack of excitment with the film. There was a very deep plot and and acting was superb, but it was just too sluggish for my tastes.
