 The Power of the Sun

Good morning, and what a beautiful morning it is.  In Athens, Ohio, we have had a streak of very cold gray days, and yesterday and today have been beautiful, I woke up this morning and put on shorts :).  There is nothing better for an old manic like myself then a sunny day in a really disturbing winter.  The cocoon is opening my friends, and a new woman is about to emerge.  In the loss of my significant other I have had to reclaim my own life, for I no longer have to share it with another.  The decisions I make from now on are completely my own, I am in the driver's seat, and I have the wind blowing in my hair.  God works in strange ways.

When spring arrives, there is an incredible feeling of renewal, beauty and hope.  I am a bit of aesthetics addict, in order to feel alive, I surround myself with all of the most beautiful colors, trinkets, etc.   Spring naturally provides so many.  India is going to be out of this world.

I am trying to reconnect with myself, in doing so, i'm joining a group to try and kick the drinking habit, college supports it, but my body is way over it.

I am creating, I am writing, I am reading.

I am taking better care of my body

I am dedicating time for detox!

In doing all these things I hope to feel a little stronger, a little more englightened, I really have to emotionally prepare myself to be in a very different country for half a year.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life, and from this angle life looks so good.

I noticed there have been a couple people glancing at my blog, so I have decided that it is very important that my blog entries have points and purpose, and are not just jumbled ramblings of a neurotic 20 something.

My point today is to inspire myself, and others.  Today I will go out of my way to do something nice for a stranger.  I will pray for my friends and send positive energy out in to the world.  I hope that everyone who reads this does the same. As a student of anthropology, I feel that everything in this world is absolutely connected, and we live in a web of systems and networks that combine the past, present, future, earth, and every organism on this planet.  Appreciate what we have been given, live the life that you decide, live life with purpose and strenggth, humor and love.  Appreciate those around you whom you love and who love you.  Smile at a stranger, hold the door for someone, be patient with those around you.  Send out love and you will recieve love.

Namaste,

Conciousness
