I agree, good sex is better when both partners give themselves self-lessly to each other during the act. Fantastic sex is when you know that your partner in the act gives themself to you above and beyond the act.
For me it is when I know the person will be there for me afterwards, and knowing they actually care about me, not just the act. :)
