Dear Readers --

Four years ago I came to reside in the land of Thoughts.Com.  Last January I decided to commit to writing one post a month.  As each month drew to a close I found myself stressed and scrambling to come up with something fresh and meaningful to fill the pages here.  [With the passage of time most of my favorite quotations and music have already been shared.]  I've grown frustrated and disconnected with the blogging experience.  Wanting (needing - desiring) to do something different with the space graciously provided, but not having a single clue what that looks like.  It bothers me that I'm not growing or living up to my potential as a writer. 

Next year I'm leaving the post quotas behind, while I contemplate how best to be the writer I know I can be.  I'm not closing up shop or leaving town.  I'll be around, checking in often with my favorite authors, whose lives seem more intriguing than my own.
