'I'm Not Sure' means I'm Not Sure
When I say that I am  not sure if a god exists, it means exactly that - I really am not sure. It doesn't mean 'I am not sure - so somebody convince me that there is (or isn't) a god'. Agnosticism is a point of view; as a borderline agnostic, I am not looking to 'see the light', or 'have the Lord Jesus the Savior' come into my life and rescue me from 'this horrible darkness of uncertainty'. I believe that it IS possible, that all life can be explained through physical, scientific theories. The universe was not necessarily created by a Supreme Deity -  it MAY have been, but then again it may NOT have been too. I believe in science as a field that helps us mere mortals understand the world around us; it helps us make sense of things without this 'pie in the sky' ideology that religion is inherently based on.  I might believe in an afterlife; I may accept in the idea of a soul. But even if I do, that doesn't necessarily mean that I believe in religion as an institution. So please - when I say I'm not sure, I'm not looking for clarity. That IS my viewpoint; I'm not a believer or nonbeliever in God. I really just don't know. I don't think anyone does.
