I have decided to open this blogsite because I believe I am either an agnostic or on the border of being one. I find the Christian conservatives extremely annoying, and I want to have a place to go where I can write about what I think freely. There seems to be too much pressure nowadays to believe in God; it's as though if you have any doubts, you cannot be a good person. Well I have my doubts - about everything I was taught about God and religion - and I am still a good person. I think it is important to question everything out there; we shouldn't just believe that something is true because somebody tells us it is. This blogpage will be addressing the following issues: agnosticism, atheism, Christianity, organized religion in general. Is religion just a farce, some kind of 'comfort food for the soul' that people made up over time, to help themselves get through tough things like illness and death? Is there anything so bad about having doubts or questions about things that remain unproven? Didn't God (?) give people brains to think about things and draw their own insights from them? What if there is no God? What about that - it could very possibly be true, that a god does not exist. Perhaps I am really a Pagan; worshipping the Earth doesn't sound like such a far-fetched idea.

hi there chandrika!
i think this is really interesting...you'll find people of all different philosophies here.
i'll tell you my opinion for what it's worth - i don't think that god is something you can think about logically...that is an article of faith that transcends straight logic...if you try to dissect your belief too much you might lose it during the description of the minutiae...
by the way, i am strictly non religious myself but i appreciate the 'leap of faith' that some are able to accomplish..
