I've been home from college for about two weeks now, and it sucks. All my friends are still off at school and I'm living back with my parents. Don't get me wrong I love my family, but after being away in Canada for so long, I no longer feel like I fit in here anymore. It's also strange not having a roommate anymore. Some people might prefer to have their own room, but my roommate and I got along tremendously well and grew very close in a short span of time. I don't think anyone else could live with my quirky habits quite as well as she did.
The job hunt has been somewhat successful in the sense that I have a job but it doesn't pay very well. Monday I start my job as a waitress in a Holiday Inn for $3 an hour plus whatever tips I make. I'm not sure how long I'll last at this job, because I desperately need to make lots of money to get back into school by the fall semester.
Guess I'll see how it goes for awhile.

just do your best. Be happy! I like where I am and have a good job while if I was in the states it would be a disaster with no jobs. Here in China plenty of work for me.
