I went to the beach with my sisters on the weekend. My bf and my sister's husband joined us. We had a geat time. It had been a very long time since my sisters and I spent time together.
Since each of us moved on with their lives, it has been difficult to get together. Everyone has commitments and things to do all the time, so we don't really see each other as much as we would like to. That's why this weekend meant so much to me.
We checked-in to the hotel and then walked for 10 minutes to get to the beach. We spent most of the day there and then went to a pub where we had appetizers and Sangria. The boys had beer. Canadian beer is great.
Then latin music started to play and we could not resist the temptation to dance...so dance we did. I hadn't danced since I was in high school! It felt great! I danced with one of my three sisters because my bf doesn't really dance in public. I've seen him dance...and I don't blame him. hehe.
Back at the hotel, we swam in the outdoor heated pool. It was so nice. I think I can swim so much better now. No more boards or floating devices.
Later that evening, we barbecued and later, after we showered and got dressed up, we tried to go to a club...but my little sister who is only 18, could not get in...so we passed on the idea and walked back to the hotel where we sat by the fire pit.
We couldn't stay out long because of the mosquitos, but it was nice just sitting there, enjoying each others' company and telling scary but real life stories. Like my bf finding a dead body in a car junk site ( but that's another blog!).
Sunday morning we headed out for breakfast and back to the beach. It was windy so the waves were pretty big for a Bay. It was so much fun. The clouds started to roll in and it was getting late anyway, so we decided to stop for a bite to eat and then drove home.
On my way home, I briefly visited my parents and then finally went home to take a much needed shower. I slept like a baby.
I had a wonderful weekend!!!!
