You know what I'm getting sick of? Those stupid Geico car insurance commercials with that annoying animated gecko! I don't know if they have them all over the country and I pray they haven't infected the rest of the world but around here they seem to be on TV and radio every 2 seconds! I don't watch that much TV but everytime I see that green dork I wish I could put my hand through the TV screen and grabbed his scrawny little body and do some kind of "Mr. Bill" number on him. The radio ads are really a pain. He talks with fake English accent. Of course English people wouldn't think he was talking with an accent. They'd probably say I talked with an accent. But they'd know it was a fake and be annoyed just like me! That's what always struck me funny in old films. Why was it let's say in a movie about WW 2 that when the Germans talked to each other they always spoke English with a German accent? If fthey were suppose to be speaking German they wouldn't have accents at all ,right???
Anyway, I digress...
I'm not a violent or cruel person but setting his skinny gecko bod on fire and then shoving his flaming corpse up the ass of the guy who created him sounds like a lot of fun to me!
These are some movies I’ve never seen that I will continue to search for:
DEATH OF A SALESMAN-This is the original movie version made in 1950 with Fredric March in the lead. For some reason it’s never shown anywhere! I’ve read Arthur Miller didn’t like it. Maybe That has something to do with it? Since he died in 2005 maybe some one somewhere will show it!
CUBAN REBEL GIRLS-This was Errol Flynn’s last movie. It’s a shoestring production that he wrote and his manager directed. To top it all off his 18-year-old girlfriend is his co-star!
THE LOST ONE-This is the only movie actor Peter Lorre directed. He made it while visiting Germany in the ‘50’s (some say he went there to avoid testifying before HUAC). He plays a former Nazi soldier haunted by his past. In the ‘80’s it played at an Art House Theater in NYC but I missed it!
SHORT CUT TO HELL-This is the only movie James Cagney directed. Not sure what it’s about. He’s not in it.
HUMAN HIGHWAY-A weird movie rocker Neil Young made in the ‘80’s. It features Dennis Hopper and Devo!
THE LAST MOVIE-This was made by Dennis Hopper shortly after he co-starred in EASY RIDER. It got terrible reviews and no one would distribute it even though it wound up winning The Palm D’Or at Cannes that year!
I hope everyone liked Sub Tomato's guest review. It was by far the best written review to ever appear in this blog!
