Life with a lazy overweight cat is nothing but ordinary. All Tigger does is sleep and eat. He doesn't play much, though he does have lots of toys. He only plays if you play with him. He loves his laser light. Chasing the light is the only way he gets exercise. Believe me he needs exercise.
He measures 25 inches around his chest.
He has various places he likes to sleep, either on his chair, on our daughter's bed, or even under it. Plus on the dining room and kitchen chairs.
Occassionally he finds new places to hide, like behind a door, as big as he is, there is always a tail sticking out, so we know where he is.
He's a good mouser, always watching out for a mouse. He knows where they hide. One morning, when we got up we found the tail and teeth of a mouse on the dining room floor, no blood, he cleaned it all up when he ate it. Yuck!
In this hot weather, he loves laying infront of a fan. In the winter, he hides under the comforter on our daughter's bed. He loves blankets and pillows. He even has his own pillow, which I made for him.
As big as he is, he still thinks he's a lapcat, ouch! My lap is the only one he'll sit on. I give him limited time on my lap, because he makes my legs go numb.
If our daughter leaves clothes on her bed, Tigger lays on them. If there's a newspaper on the bed, he'll lay on that too. Tigger leaves his hair all over. We are constantly using a lint brush on our clothes and everything else.
I guess most of the things mentioned here are typical of what most cats do, but then again, not all cats are as big as Tigger.
