Todays Rant: The Fox News Channel

Ok, so I was eating luch today and in the cafeteria the TV had the Fox News channel. I couldn't help but notice how really politically biased this network was. Of course I've noticed this before, but todays report on Al Gores environment plan was the straw that broke the camels back and I just had to vent about it. Here is where I'm going to vent. This will be a not-so-fair look on the most unfair and unbalanced news network.
Fox News is unbelievable scewed to the conservative right. During the reports on Obama, it was mentioned by one coorespondant how his lack of military experience means that he doesn't have the proper knowledge to end the war in Iraq. Really?!?! What the hell is this supposed to mean? In fact most of our presidents have not had military experience and many of them did commendable jobs during time of war.
Another thing that gets me is the very format of which news is displayed. You know how while one story is being displayed on the main screen, other headlines will scroll at the bottom of the screen. Well, one thing I can't help but notice is how social, economic, and political victories for the liberal left will speed across the screen with no details, never to be heard from again, while the other side gets detailed and in-depth review as the main story, to be reviewed and discussed multiple times throughout the day.
I know what you may be thinking. "What about the show Hannity and Colmes? This is a fair and balanced show. It shows a liberal and a conservative debating." Ok, so lets look a little deeper. As much as I hate to admit it, Sean Hannity is a very intelligent and articulate man. Having said that, let me say he is a manipulative, fact twisting, vile, sack of Republican vomit, who uses irrelevant observations to trash talk the Democratic left. Colmes on the other hand, while a liberal, is a spineless, bumbling moron. Hats off go to Fox News for this mismatch. If this were to be really fair and balanced, Fox News would have at least tried to hire a respectable liberal to match Sean Hannity. Instead, it appears they grabbed a guy they found hanging outside the studio and told him to pretend to be a liberal. I can think of plenty of intelligent and respectable liberals who would give Hannity a real challenge. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want but the way I see it is this. Fox News is determined to make people think that the conservative right is the only way to think. So, they hire a smart and aggressive man like Hannity and pit him against a man like Colmes who has the fortitude of a jellyfishes spine.
Another featured speaker on Fox News is a woman named Ann Coulter. The spew that comes from her mouth shocks and amazes me. I couldn't believe that someone could be filled with so much ignorance. At least Hannity takes the time to twist facts to make his arguments. Coulter doesn't even use facts. She just trash talks the other side with stereotypes and generalizations, not to mention flat out lies. Her imperialist views on U.S. global policy are destructive to everything we as Americans stand for. She quoted once, "We should kill all thier leaders and convert them to Christianity."
During the 2004 election, "If I'm going to say anything about John Edwards in the future, I'll just wish he had been killed in a terrorist assassination plot."
How can this woman be taken seriously? So much hate from this woman, I wonder about her upbringing. Was she abused? I can't help but get infuriated everythime I hear her speak on the news or read some of her work.
She contends that all liberals hate America and the Democratic left want to see America destroyed. Fox News actually has her on TV!!!! I am a proud American and I am open about my liberal beliefs, but I don't know any liberal who uses such blatent and offensive tactics when discussing thier beliefs. Now, I understand that Coulter does not represent the entire conservative side...at least I hope is doesn't, but the fact that Fox News lets this poisonous woman speak freely on thier network makes me question the integrity of the stations supervisors.
This goes on of the things I don't like about this news network, but I don't think you'd learn anything if I told you all I knew. Just watch the channel for half an hour and you will most likely be as amazed as I was. This network has me so disgusted in fact to make The Fox News Channel the topic of Todays Rant.
