Mother's Day
what a wonderful day we had together Saturday with Mother and all the girls but Phyllis.  She and charlie and the boys were not able to make it.  We really missed them.  While we were at Cornerstone's brunch, the rest of the guys were out at mom's and grilled an early supper for us.  She had made carrot cake and black-eyed peas for us to go with the bbq chicken.  I had all my family together for the day and it was wonderful.  I'm so thankful we still have mother around to enjoy. She had a great day, she said, and rested on Sunday.  She insisted on planting the garden again this year - lots of peas - even though she is trying to sell her house and move to town.  We want her close to us, but God knows what is best.  Hope you all had a wonderful day with your families.  We had a great example of a good mother in Granny Cannon and we sure have some wonderful mothers in Aunt Myra, Aunt Etta Lee, Aunt Velma, Aunt Rozene and Mom and, of course, all the ones that have gone on to heaven - I can still hear their wonderful laughter in my heart.
Some of you "younger" moms didn't turn out too badly with God's help!!!! blessings, sue
