Victory In The Cross Of Jesus
The main thing is to see that the main thing remains to be the main thing.
The cross of Jesus is the main thing in our walk with God
1 Corinthians 1:18 MSG
The Message that points to Christ on the CROSS seems like sheer silliness to those hellbent on destruction, but for those on the way of salvation it makes perfect sense. This is the way God works, and most powerfully as it turns out.
DAY 1 - THE BLOOD
WHAT THE BLOOD WILL DO FOR YOU (MEANING OF JESUS DEATH)
1. Redemption. The sinner in bondage is bought back with a certain price.
Gives you power over sin. The Things you used to do you do them no more.
1 Peter 1:18-19 KJVR
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious BLOOD of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
2. Atonement. (Covering of sin)
Removes the guilt of sin.
God is set you free from guilt.
Eat sugar wipe your mouth. But the guilt is great. God is here to set you free.
Your mind is being renewed.
Romans 5:11 KJVR
And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the ATONEMENT.
3. Propitiation. (Sacrifice)
1 John 2:2 MSG
When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good--not only ours, but the whole world's.
4. Substitution. Taking place of another. The innocent for the guilty.
John 10:11 KJVR
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
5. Reconciliation. God restored man to Himself.
Romans 5:10 GNB
We were God's enemies, but he made us his friends through the death of his Son. Now that we are God's friends, how much more will we be saved by Christ's life!
6. Ransom. He paid the price I could every Pay.
Matthew 20:28 MSG
That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served--and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage."
May you find forgiveness and redemption in the cross of Jesus.
Victory is in the cross of Jesus.
HE WILL SWALLOW UP DEATH IN VICTORY; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 25:8 KJVR.
