The following is based on true events. Names, cities, and some situations have been changed to protect the innocent as well as the guilty.
Life. You have to live it. No sense letting it pass you by. No one ever said that it would be sunshine all the time. There has to be rain and storms so that when the sun does come out you appreciate it even more. I am thankful for the rain, the hail, and every drop of sunlight I get, even if it's through the clouds. Just when I think my life can't get any stranger- it does.
Five years ago I was so ready to give up on love. There was no such thing. I have been cheated on, abused in every sense of the word, lied to, taken advantage of, all in the name of love. Well look here, I was tired. I was giving up on the whole idea. I figured all I needed was me and Jordanne. That is my baby girl. She is the thing that keeps me going when I thing I can't go on any more. I love her to no end, but all parents feel that way about their kids. She is so important to me because I almost lost my life giving birth to her. When I survived I knew that I had a purpose here and it definately had to do with her. She keeps me strong. At any rate as fate would have it I met a guy. He wasn't just any guy. He had a strong sense of confidence. Beautiful hazel eyes, intellegent, nothing like the guys I was used to meeting. This is not to say that I never met intellegent men, it's just that the way he carried himself, and the way he exhibited his traits was amazing to me. Shortly after meeting we decided to go on a date. Nothing terribly fancy. We spent the enitre day together. As a matter of fact we spent the night together. I know what you are thinking SLUT! Well it wasn't like that. We went to the park, out for lunch at the local deli and then back to my place where we watched a movie. It was late so we began to talk. We talked about our lives, goals, ambitions, love, we touched on so many subjects. Here was the kicker. We fell asleep and when I woke up he had not even moved a pillow that had been between us on the futon. We had met at work. We worked at a local retail store so we knew each other prior even though our conversations had been minimal. Believe it or not, what girl wouldn't be impressed with a guy that sees an opportunity for an easy lay and resist the temptation. After all the negative stuff I had been through he had my attention.

Sounds like despite your previous rocky road, this recent event was almost my utopia. So simple, yet so perfect. sigh.
