As I begin the year 2008, it seems good to me to review the last year. I am so astounderated by all that has happened in the four short years I have been impersonating President Bush. First, I have noticed that my use of the language is either advancing or deterioratifying, depending of if your George Bush or not.
Two Thousand and Seven was a profound year for this George W. Bush Impressionist. I was blessed to do more than I have ever dreamed. I thank God for this great Country. Thank God we still have a sense of humor. Here are a few of the highlights.
I had a dream fulfilling appointment working for the United States Army in Europe, performing as President Bush, to a room full of America’s top Generals, gathered together in Germany for a “strategery” session. What a thrill to be in their presence, and what a surreal experience to walk out in front of some of America’s genuine heroes; two, three and four star Generals, knowing that at least some of them are actually thinking that I’m their Commander In Chief! Two thoughts that ran through my mind in the moment were, "How did I get here," and, "Is this safe!?" On that trip, I also had the honor of performing for some of our wounded soldiers at Landstuhl Army Hospital near Frankfort. That my friends, was a humbling experience.
I enjoy faith based as well as corporate, political and private engagements. My son Stephen and I toured with Christian Recording Artists Stephen Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, and Hawk Nelson, and others on Winter Jam ’07. This thirty-three city tour was an opportunity to perform as “The Singing Bush” with one of America’s largest music tours. It was also an opportunity to share ministry from my heart, as I sought to encourage concert goers to be “Imitators of Christ.”
I’m so excited to have met and am working with Dale Leigh, the Bill Clinton Double, as “The Rockin’ Presidents.” You can find him on Thoughts.com as ClintonDouble. We have become close friends.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who voted for me as I had the thrill of advancing to third runner up on America’s reality show, “The Next Best Thing.” What a great honor it was to work alongside so many friends, and to make many new ones. It is great to be involved in this fulfilling industry.
In December I had the honor of a guest appearance with nine other celebrity impersonators on “Family Feud,” which will air for an entire week the latter part of February.
My record breaking year included many other corporate and faith based engagements, abroad and around the world. (wink wink) The last highlight I’ll mention is the opportunity I had to perform with Theresa Barnwell, the fantastic Hillary Clinton Impersonator, for Sean Hannity on all five stops of the Freedom Alliance Concert Series. These performances and others too numerous to mention have brought me in front of nearly half a million people. Most of that in 2007. I'm grateful to be a part of the Thoughts.com family. Thank you to my lovely wife Kathy, who got me into this in the first place, to my kids who put up with all this childishness, to all of the agents who provide these opportunities, to the Network, to my manager Vince Wilcox, the folks at Premiere Speakers, and Thank you to my Lord, for everything.

It sounds like you could use me for an assistant. What do you think, John? You are truly blessed, you know.
