| Happy Valentines Day! |

I love love. I love loving love. This is significant for me because of the long dark night of my hated soul, when love was dead. Long ago, I knew nothing of love. I knew laughter, and I knew friendship, but not love. That was then.
Ah now. The thrill of loving and being loved is breathtakingly vivid to me. It is the air in my lungs. Today I joyfully celebrated our twenty-sixth Anniversary with my wife, Kathy. She is my light, my path. She taught me that to love is better than to take. Kathy lives before me a wonderful example of selflessness as she endeavors to be a loving wife and momma.
Tomorrow we are going to play together, and we are very excited about it. I'd like to share some ideas on things you can do together on Valentines Day. First of all there's the obligatory Valentine's Day card. Don't just grab the first one you see. One year my dad did that and when mom openned it, it was pretty obvious. You don't want a backfire here.
Take the time to find one that fits your situation, and says what's really in your heart, only usually much better than you can say it yourself. Even though the card waxes eloquent, personalize it also. Write something you love about the person you are buying the card for. It means so much more.
Flowers say it nicely, but how about going about and finding the flowers yourself. It shows creativity, and thoughtfullness, and it's great for the budget minded.
Try writing a love note on an old bed sheet, and hang it from the town overpass. Why not let the whole city know of your devotion. Obviously, make sure they drive by it the next day. Preferrably in the morning, when there's less chance someone will have pulled it down.
A nice meal at a local resteraunt is usually a hit, as long as the preference in choice of dining establishments would prefer your Valentine's liking, not so much yours. Sometimes, if you call ahead, you can arrange a romantic booth, or even take a boquet of balloons or at least a card to be waiting for them at the table. Always a hit, and the extra preparation time says I love you loud and clear.
Trips, big or small, to a city park, a craft show, says I love you. It says, "You're worth the time."
Also, just say it baby say it. Don’t let there be any doubt about how you feel. Well, here’s to giant hearts, warm hugs and soft smiles. Here’s love to my friends at thoughts.com, and here’s to my wonderful wife. Honey, I love you!
