Today was rather good. Well, better than school by far. I was thinking last night about how the whole day would be sitting and watching Team Taboo have fun and be loud, but they weren't in my face all day. Me and Lucy had a great time and we even went and sat with Sam, Laurie and Jake in the breaks :)
Gillian Clarke was first and she was really lovely, I liked her. She was like a magic lady with her long whiteish hair and her poem about her daughter :)
Carol Ann Duffy was completely rubbish. Before You Were Mine was dead nice and Salome was alright but she was such a liveless woman. She was dead. Well, dead :D
Growly and sulky and uninteresting. I didn't want to listen to her until she read Before You Were Mine because it was sweet :)
Simon Armitage was next :D:D WOO SIMON ARMITAGE!! I've decided I'm going to marry him because he's so sweet and amusing. He read his poems and told us all about piercing his ear that made him write a poem to his dad and then moving out to make him write a poem to his mum.
He also told us about his childhood being spent in phone boxes too, and I really really liked him so let's look him up a bit!
Oh bum I need to do my maths coursework!! :(
I'm also going to read like, my first newspaper ever. I have often avoided newspapers because they are either boring or depressing. But I can't write newspaper articles and I should probably learn how :)
Tomorrow is a normal school day which will be rubbish and also I really need to organise my paragraphs in this silly blog :)
I'm watching some programme about a boy who's put polystyrene balls in his ears. It's quite scary actually, he's like screaming so now he has to have an operation under anesthetic. Not making it any more comforting with them playing Infra Red by Placebo either, it's quite a distressing song :D
Now there is a man with a puffy foot. And some hospital kitchens. I'm only doing this to avoid going upstairs. First I'll have to tidy my room, THEN do my joyous maths coursework. I really need to do it, otherwise I will be hunted tomorrow. But let's face it, I'm not going to get two pieces done tonight. Or ever.
Let's look up Simon Armitage and I'll go and tidy up my silly bedroom at about eight.
'He is currently a senior lecturer at Manchester Metropolitain University.' Oh my God let's abandon the University of Toronto to go there ;D
Well, let's not make any definite decisions before we've even got into college yet. I have to go. I have to do maths. I don't want to watch Mastermind and I want to write in my diary and read the newspaper.
GUT BYE :)
