Today, I will post a poem about my babies who are now young adults. When I wrote this poem, I wanted to capture the deep bond of motherhood which I felt for them. So here it is....simple and sweet.
*MEMORIES*
I remember the days when my children were small
I washed faces, changed diapers, but that wasn't all.
I remember sweet little angels with cute button noses
The sound of their laughter as I tickled their toes.
Michael was adorable, chubby, and sweet....
he was a calm little baby with ticklish feet.
Maria was a cutie, dressed all in pink....
she cried the loudest, that's what I think.
I loved and nurtured them as best I could....
I did the same things as any mother would.
I thank God for my children, I truly am blessed....
through hardships and struggles, he gave me the best.
I became a mother when I was quite young....
knew nothing about children, it wasn't fun.
I wiped runny noses and rocked them at night....
I watched them sleep, and turned out the light.
I thank God for my children, a gift from above....
Through good times and bad, He filled them with love.
