I feel very protective over my poems because they are personal and reflect how I felt during a particular time. I take much pride in what I've written, even though I'm not a professional.....we all have to start somewhere.
*EMOTIONS*
Day by day
Night by night...
feeling lost
without the fight.
No one knows
I play the part...
the sadness inside
this broken heart.
I play a role
for all to see...
this cheerful smile
isn't really me.
*PLEASE LORD*
Please Lord, show me the way
to make you happy, day by day.
I ask for strength to make me strong,
to show me right instead of wrong.
Please Lord, talk with me...
if I've dissapointed, let me see.
I ask for praise in time of need,
to set me straight, to do good deeds.
Both poems meant a lot to me when I wrote them 3 years ago. They still do. In the future, I hope to post more of my poems to share for the first time.
