hey look, i'm all about the dysfunction.drugs.sexual deviancy.violence.you name it.i've either lived it or done it or smelled it.there simply is no such thing as a non-tortured artist.all art of substance comes from pain or madness or drugs of some kind.i respect that.i subscribe to it.
i think that we as people, as well as fans of pop culture and the circus that surrounds it are all very much fascinated and drawn to, even turned on by the perversion and lunacy that seems to go hand in hand with some of our favorite songs or artists or works of art.
musicians.directors.writers.they all seem to have this magnetism that is only heightened and made more pronounced by some form of dysfunctional radar detector we possess.in a more straight forward and out in the open sense of the phrasing .... the more fucked up one seems, the more talented or alluring their creative output seems to be.the darker the berry, the sweeter the juice.it's a fact.
okay, so with all of that said , can someone please tell me one thing .... how in the fuck am i going to be able to listen to the mama's and the papa's now and not cringe myself into a self-induced head shaking coma?
