| A Birthday Message to my Son

Son,
When you reach the age that I will let you have your own computer and browse the internet, probably create your own blog too, I hope you swing by this little entry I especially wrote for you.
Our life has been a little shaky when you were growing up. I was not able to give you everything that I've dreamed of. I hope life was different. I feel guilty when I have to say it to your beautiful eyes why mommy can't give you everything. I thought it was the hardest thing to do. I was wrong.
Because everytime I look into your eyes, it always tells me that everything is going to just fine. Your smile assures me that no matter what, you're going to stay right here beside me.
I'm sorry baby that I'm not always right by your side to see all your firsts. But I just want to let you know that everything that I do, I'm doing it because I know I have to provide for you and protect you. You may not hear it because you're almost always asleep when I'm home but with every opportunity I get, I whisper to your ears that I love you so much.
On this very special day, three years ago, you were given to me and I was so scared. I never had my own parent and noone has taught me how to be one. But when I look at you and hear you cry, it's my love for you that guides me what to do. I don't think I've thanked God enough of having you.
Honey, mama I can't promise you a perfect life. There's a few bumpy roads that we have to go through but I promise you that we'll go through it together and I'll do all my best to shield you. And if time comes that I have to let you go....... hmmm.... Iet's not talk about that yet, let's wait till your 18, okey? But right now, all I want to let you know is that Mama loves you so much. You're my life and my heart beats for you and your little sister.
