 Shameful Memories
Another poem I worte.

Smashing glass
And car on fire.
Baby's screams
And squealing tires
He tried to stop before they hit,
But he shouldn't have been driving,
He wasn't fit.
He'd only had a couple of drinks,
Hopped in his car and didn't think.
Now a child's left on her own,
Her parents were killed,
She's all alone.
No mother to sing to her
And make her smile,
No father to walk her down the aisle
Her life will be filled with sadness and pain
Because of one man's bad decision,
Nothing will ever be the same
Now as he sits alone at night,
He thinks about that baby
And hopes she'll be alright.
He feels terrible for what he's done,
His head filled with shameful memories,
From which he cannot run.

This is amazing work.
I love it.
You went from both sides of the perspectives.
Great work!

Hope and faith,
