| Rain [Poem] |
|
"May my eyes flow with tears day and night.
May I never stop weeping, for my people are deeply wounded and badly hurt.
When I go out into the countryside,
I see the bodies of men killed in war;
When I go out into the towns,
I see people starving to death.
Prophets and priests carry on their work,
But they don't know what they are doing ..."
Jeremiah 14:17-18
Rain
Raindrops fall as heaven cries
Over the living
The tears of the dying.
Look at us and see the trouble we are in.
It's raining. It's pouring.
Everyone's ignoring ...
Broken tears falling
Shatter.
Silently screaming
Desert desperate for rain.
Pain.
Reflection in the tears heaven cries.
Rain rain, go away
Don't come back ever again.
Hurting Waiting Breaking
Losing Hating Shaking
Drowning Falling Fading
Hiding Bleeding Aching
Trembling Needing Taking
Wilting
Dying
Weeping
Raining.
Look at us and see the trouble we are in.
It's raining. It's pouring.
Only heaven's not ignoring.
