Hello people!!!! Todays topic explains itself...or does it??? Many people think celibacy is a bad thing, and others think it's a great thing. Me personally, I have many personal reasons why it's the best decision I could have ever made. You are completely free to agree or disagree....I embrace all ideas and views as I would hope to make this an open discussion!
So anywho, before I give my opinion I am going to do a brief breakdown of the following: Virginity, Abstaining, and Celibacy. They all have simlar meanings, yet they are truely three different things. To compare the three and to bottom line it, they mean NO SEX. The contrasts are, being a virgin, you have never had sex and/or plan to keep it that way until you are married. To abstain is an extra precaution taken to prevent disease, std's and pregnacy. It's mainly known as the best way to protect yourself. Finally, celibacy is quite the same as abstaining, but rather than just the extra precaution, it more of a spiritual stand point. Celibacy is not too similar to virginity because, alot of people who believe in the word of God, and have committed the sin of having sex before marriage, whether it be one time or 100 times, decide to regain that relationship with Christ and also decide to "clink Clink" and allow God to send them that man or woman. For more info on these things you can check your Bible, or do like we do for everything else and google it!!!! LOL!
Alright now...for my opinions and views...me personally, I enjoy my CELIBACY! It's a hard hard road and it's something I literally have to take a day at a time. Now in my opinion it seems easier for me, because I wasn't "active." It was a one time, wish I would have never ever done it, don't want to do it anymore, etc...type thing that opened some huge doors that should not have ever been opened. But that's life. I digress on that point in saying you learn from your mistakes. Anywho, for you holier than thou never ever made a mistake in your life folks, guess what, there is NO SIN, greater than the next!!!! So remember, judge not unless ye be judged!!! Moving right along...Right now, I am in a place in my life where I choose to allow God to send me the man of His choice. Now don't get me wrong, I date. I've had long term relationships, blah blah. But the one thing I do from jump street is let the guy know, "Hey if you're looking for someone who is going to lay down with you, then we need to end this now." Now some guys stay around, some guys don't. It doesn't really bother me because once again, that's life! But in any event, I make sure boundaries are set, because at the end of the day, I am still a woman and my body still has reactions to certain temptations. As I have come to find out, I would really need to be alarmed if my body did not react. It all has something to do with nature!!!!
I am always posed with the question, "Why Celibacy?" Well for one it's a spiritual thing for me. I'd rather a give my soul to God, than to give my body to a man. That's just me. Then it's from the "Will he still love me if I don't complex." also known as the "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free" theory. I want to be with a man that loves me for me and not my "touch". I also build myself up as a queen. That's mistake women tend to make, and sometimes men. They don't hold themselves as "royalty" or "greatness" and being better than a "good time." Anywho, I hold myself as a queen and I accept nothing less than a king! That means above all else, he is a TRUE, man of God to start with.(I don't g to church seeking that man either. All things that glitter is definately not gold!) Secondly, he is understanding of my decision and he does not have his desires fufilled elsewhere. He is committed to relationship and not relations!!! So that's my stand point and my views on all of this! Feel free to comment!!!!

Celibacy is a smart choice because I feel as though many women are not confident enough with their sexuality to exert themselves positively in a sexual relationship. You must no yourself inside and out before making a jump sexually.
