 I just don't get it.
Well, the glen beck Mount Vernon protest is over and Mount Vernon is still standing.Living across the street like I do left me with a front row seat to the protest and left me with more questions than answers. While there were agitators on both sides it was the glenn beck supporters that were the most rude, insulting and even down right hostile.I saw one young man, he must have been a freshmen in high school, try to engage a glenn beck supporter in a civilized manner. The young man even tried to explain to her,the beck supporter, that he didn't understand and wanted some information so he could decide and you know what happened? This beck supporter just about tore the kids, who's only crime was to try to make an informed choice, head off. Why was that? It seems,to me at least, like the supporters want to have their right to freedom of speech but do not seem to want to give a kid who just wants to makes the right choice the same courtesy. Why is that? Are the supporters of glenn beck really so afraid of the undecided people that they refuse to grant people the exact same rights that they have?I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT that what I have said GOES FOR BOTH SIDES.Now BEFORE EVERYONE starts in, YES THERE WERE people like that on the anti-beck side but I could not hear what they were saying to the people they were talking to and I was standing right next to this young man as he tried to talk to the beck supporter. Like I said,I just don't get why the supporters were so were rude, insulting and down right hostile to the undecided. I just don't get it at all.
