| Vegas, Baby! Day 3 |
On the third day of our trip, we were a little more slow-moving in the morning. There may have even been some groaning getting out of bed...I stand for a living, but wow! my feet were tired from all the walking we did on Day 2!
Oh, speaking of Day 2, I have to tell you...I was standing on a corner with Mrs. Lamebull, Mrs. Wayne, and DifficultSoul when one of those rolling billboard things went by. I don't know if you've ever seen one, but it's basically a semi hauling a giant picture and an ad of some sort. This particular one was of a group of (male!) strippers called Thunder from Down Under. Well, we watched it go by (jaws on the ground!) and behind us, our menfolk were just howling! I guess our synchronized head-turn couldn't have been choreographed any better if we'd been chorus girls!
Oh hang on...I think I have a picture of the same thing on a building-top billboard somewhere. I took this one for Easy2Say!

Hooboy! Is it HOT in here??
Okay, so back to Day 3. We decided to "see the sights" cuz our itinerary didn't need us until around 4:00 pm. So we headed off to the monorail, jumped aboard and wheezed on down to the MGM hotel and the Luxor. Gonna hafta go with "WOW" on these two! Here, check it out:

(You'll notice the cleverly-timed shot to include the um..Chippendales rolling billboard down at the bottom there...um...purely unintentional, I assure you!)
Oh, here's a close-up of one of those bowl guys just above the lion there:

Not really sure what the whole "bowl" thing is about, but the statues were ...lovely :)
And this is the Luxor:

It's an amazing (wow, Chriss Angel is sum purdy, ain't he?) structure. The pyramid is the hotel! It's hollow inside, with the rooms all up the sides. I'm still trying to figure out how they built the elevators!
We pause now for a patriotic moment for my American friends. This is a shot from the New York, New York hotel:

Pretty amazing, eh? They've done a miniature New York City up to be a hotel! This beautiful lady stands out front...it's friggin' HUMUNGUS!! :)
Gratuitous artsy-fartsy fountain shot:

Honestly, it would take probably weeks to see everything. We spent pretty much all day just wandering and gaping like tourists....um...cuz that's what we were :)
By the time we got back on the monorail to head to the hotel, we were exhausted! We still had a whole evening of stuff to do, so we sprung for a six-pack of Red Bull :) Wheeeeee! Man, that stuff works great, but you'd better be lying down when it wears off!
We met up by the pool at the hotel, and had a bit of a meeting to discuss Thoughts.com. This was the only time on our entire trip that whining was permitted. It was fun, cuz we got to sit around drinking and talking about our favourite thing - Thoughts! :) Oh, except afterward when dear Ryan (our intrepid cameraman) lept into our faces with his video camera and wanted to know what we thought of Thoughts! I, for one, was barely able to enunciate at this point, so I kept making him start over :) He's such a wonderfully patient man!
Dinner was at 7:00 at a really nice restaurant right in our hotel (The Mirage). They even had custom menus with Thoughts.com printed on them! How cool is that??
After our feast, we waddled out to the limos and headed off to the show. Get this:

I schitt you not! They took us to see Cirque du Soleil!!!! It was incredible!!!
I can't even begin to describe how cool it was!
Well, that's about it for Day 3. I'm exhausted just remembering it!
Stay tuned for Day 4 :)
