| Monday Morning Rollercoaster Ride

I'm exhausted!
I lucked out and got today off, so I figured I'd make a cup of really bad coffee (I'm missing the coffee-making gene, apparently) and curl up in Thoughts to see what everybody's been up to.
I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that if a person writes with great emotion, the reader will actually FEEL what's being said. It's more than just words on a page...er....screen.
Having said that, so far this morning, I've been moved to tears, laughed my ass off (not literally, of course), been mad as hell, rolled my eyes (more than once), furrowed my brow, fallen in love, experienced profound loss, launched a completely unprovoked attack on my keyboard, and done a fair bit of sighing and smiling. I've even swung from huge pouting lower lips and poked lions in their cages! What a ride!!
There are soooo many amazing stories going on here in Thoughtsland. Some are just cheery little word-farts sprinkled here and there amongst the clashing Titans and angst-ridden melodramas. Some are regurgitations of interesting facts and figures; many are exorcisms of sorts - get thee behind me! Demons begone!! There are even some blow by blow (you should pardon the expression) descriptions of events so intimate that I feel like a nosy neighbour.
I love it all! I love the freedom to express anything and everything. Warts and all! It's all about contact. And feedback. That's the beauty of this place. We can say whatever we want or need to, without fear of being judged. Ahem...I said "without fear of being judged!" Oh, you heard me the first time? Good!
So write on, Thoughtsters! I am enjoying this wild ride immensely!
I'm off to pick the bugs out of my teeth and buy another ticket! |

I am so there with you....since starting on thoughts I seem to have gotten so involved...its almost like a soap opera, but even better because it is real people.

Great post! I read some people's blogs almost like it's a soap opera and I need to know the latest development. I hate when work gets too busy that I fall behind on my favorite soaps.

Great post ... expressing exactly how I feel about this place. The people here have wormed their way into my heart and I couldn't be happier. I was thinking the other day how much fun it would be to get all the "thoughts" ladies (who are under the weight of stress) together for a spa weekend ... some place calming, relaxing and surrounded by beautiful scenery. I'm a lover of conversation and I can't seem to find people (in my real world) who enjoy sharing and talking about meaningful things. I have made my peace with the fact that my original posts are a bit scarce in number and now read and comment to my heart's content. Wishing you a wonderful week. Peace.

Very, very true. It's like our own little world, but friendlier! :D Pretty much anything here, you name it, it'll be here. I love the people here more than anything, just, the variety, and the lovely, supportive, friendly people you get really useful advice from... I can't imagine backing away from thoughts for a long time, if ever. It's like therapy for me. Same goes for a lot of others, and we all have something in common - the love of writing and self expression!

That and you get so absorbed in other peoples' stories, it's like reading a real life novel, or diary! It's just as good giving feedback as it is recieving it. It's interesting. You can get attatched to the people too, form friendships.. It's the best.
Just had to add that! :P

BootLady..I enjoy this site..but as of late find I don't have time to keep up with all the goings on..too busy. Hope sometime to catch up with everyone's blogs.
Oh and I try not to judge people..however sometimes I just HAVE to comment..even when the blogger might not like what I have to say. YIKES!!
