Don't quite know why I'm bothering with this blog.

I was hoping for some constructive feeback on occassions without being innundated by spam.

I'm certainly not being inundated by spam, but suspect I shant be putting any more content here when I already can place content on my webserver & not get feedback without having too use a crappy web interface with very painful antispam mechanism to do so.

In any case if anyone has a recommendation on a very low power consumption computer which supports standard off the shelf 3.5" drives/ram/cpu with ethernet & serial that can be purchased from Australia after confirming it will suit my needs please respond with a url.

It matters not if said boxes come with inbuilt audio/usb/pci/pcmcia as I intend using a thinclient too access said server via the nic.

My current setup consists of two craptops rescued from landfill & the reasons they were ditched is causing me quite a bit of pain/frustration but none the less the one with a working screen 4gig drive/48meg allows me to ssh into & vnc back applications running on the 60gig/128meg heat detaching ram 

 Both consume way more power then I like requiring a dodgy 12volt->18volt dc convertor to use them on the solar setup I used to have on the beast and will be too costly to repair/upgrade even if they were suited to my needs for communicating with people trying to move me on/intimidate me into doing as they wish.

Unfortunately past email requests too Australian businesses either go ignored or see me added too spam lists.

 Many of the companies advertising products are not interested in selling me what I need & in most cases wont even bother too serve me if I manage too get to their shops in person.
