 Music heals
It's good to know that whenever things get real bad, or real good, music can always remedy or enhance (respectively) the daily goings-on.  It was an unusually emotional day for me at work today and I couldn't really shake myself out of it.  On my minimal half hour lunch break I was able to grab some fresh air and I was so grateful for the windy day.  Just the freshness of the outdoors relieved me and I wished I could stay there and not go back into the flourescent light.  Then I listened to some old classics at home and was reminded that music releases all the jumbled thoughts.  Ah.....lately I've been listening to Alice in Chains - Nutshell.  One of the best songs of all time I have to say.  And it was so beautiful this past March I was in Portland, OR and was visiting a local pub and there was a live band playing.  They had a keyboardist and he played the most haunting version of the song and it was just the most wonderful thing I've heard.  I have a terrible memory too, but a handful of thoughts stay with me throughout my life....that will be one of them.  It's not always about an experience, but how that experience can transform the way you feel.  It's not always good, but I'd never give up that moment when it completely surprises you with a life-changing one.
