 Dreams of a Weather Pattern
I frequently dream of rainy days, living in the desert.  When I was younger I always thought I would live in Seattle.  Growing up in the grunge era how could I dream of living anywhere else?  I thought that if I moved to Seattle that somehow I would become friends with Eddie Vedder, Kurt Cobain and Chris Cornell.  Ah yes, I would be their muse.  Every sentence that flowed from my lips would be laced with profound creativity that spurred number one hits from my boys.  Shortly after realizing my muse status, I would discover I was a genius on the guitar and carry my Fender across town to the curiosity of passing strangers.  And you can be sure that I would be wearing stunning black boots up to my thighs.  My big black boots and shiny new guitar and I swinging across town to our next recording session.....am I mixing up my rock goddess dream with my rainy day dreams?  Perhaps.  Winter is approaching in the desert.  If only the low winter clouds could wretch up enough liquid to wring out over our dirty little city I could enjoy such a moment in real life.  For now I'll keep living vicariously through the dreamy Seattle version of me.
