In no particular order...

2. Run a full marathon.

3. Go Trekking in Nepal.

4. Touch someone's life in a way that is uplifting, helpful and productive.

5. Visit the Galapagos Islands.

6. Bungee jump.

7. Kiss under a shooting star...

8. Take photos of the ones I love more often.

9. Write a novel and have it published.

10. Let go of all that I cannot and should not hold onto; and accept. Let go of my grudges, and my failures.

11. Visit Australia.

12. Meet and marry a lifelong partner whom I can love, value, support, encourage and carry when needed; someone who will return the same in kind.

13. Have sons and/or daughters that I can raise to be good people.

14. Sit in the sun whenever it shows itself. Life is full of shadows. I want to cultivate a close acquaintance with whatever sunshine is still left.

15. Go diving with sharks. (in a cage, of course)

16. Record an album.

17. Sell a movie script and see it produced/released in theatres.

18. For a 10 year period support an entire African or Indian village of people who are living in poverty.

19. Laugh at every opportunity. Laughter is when the soul takes flight. I want to let my soul fly a whole lot.

20. Learn how to knit without the finished product looking as though it was crocheted.

21. Slow dance with K.

22. Finally master Latin.

23. Find my phone before it stops ringing (too late, now to find the #@*& phone)

24. Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa

25. See all the natural wonders of the world.

26. Visit the Antarctic.

27. Kiss under a shooting star...

28. Travel the World, go through as many countries as possible in the world and do something memorable in each country.

29. Learn how to surf in Hawaii and look cool doing it without falling off board.

30. Walk the Great Wall of China.

31. Snowboard and Ski at all the best resorts in the world.

32. Spend a summer in Alaska.

33. Live to see my children grow up to be happy and productive. (when I have them)

34. Know who really shot J.F.K.

35. Volunteer in a children's hospital.

36. Understand accurately the three-body problem (n ≥ 3)

37. Oh and did I mention kiss under a shooting star? With that person that loves me unconditionally, of course!!

38. Let every person that has ever touched my life know that I was changed by them.

39. Have a rooftop picnic.

40. Finish my law studies and become a Human Rights Lawyer.

41. Sky dive. (preferably having the Shute open before landing)

42. Find myself behind the wheel of a F1 racing car.

43. Learn a sixth language.

44. Walk under the cherry blossoms in Japan.

45. Visit Machu Picchu.

46. Take a train trip on The Orient Express and the Trans-Siberian Express.

47. Travel through Africa on a photographic safari.

48. Send a message in a bottle.

49. Dive on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

50. Watch a sunrise over the roof of the world. (Mt Everest)

...that's the first 50 of it anyway.

"34. Know who really shot J.F.K."

Not Oswald, that's who shot J.F.K.
Posted by  MisterSelfDestruct  on 2009-11-02 13:24:11

A grassy knoll theorist, ADH? I also think Oswald was a scapegoat, but I really want to the details of what really happened.

Have you seen Watchmen? That movie has a nice take on who shot JFK. And yes, I am a grassy knoll theorist.
Posted by  MisterSelfDestruct  on 2009-11-02 13:31:47

The movie based on the graphic novels? No, I haven't seen it as someone said the film was a little chaotic.

I think you have a great list, I also see you emphasised who's idea it was. I never took credit for the idea, I mentioned it was someone else who had inspired it.I read their list about an hour before I posted my blog, and couldn't remember her or his name.Sorry if that was so important.
Posted by  skip1957  on 2009-11-02 13:27:32

Thank you, Skip, for reading and the comment. =)

I wouldn't be overly concerned about who inspired your own list, that'd understand as it's a long time internet meme and I'm certain the two people who inspired my lists were inspired by others to write their own. =)

What a wonderful list, Bia! :).

#43 Learn a sixth language! Wow, I'm impressed! :). I'm still working on my second.
#6 Bungee jump! - That's on my list too!

I think I may give this a whirl! :)
Posted by  brlracincwgrl  on 2009-11-02 13:37:40

Yes, do, Ashley! I can't wait to read it. =)

#43 is a bit of a cheat I suppose given that speaking Danish also makes Norwegian and Swedish easy to learn and speak.
Posted by  Blossom  on 2009-11-02 13:42:45

OMG Bia! What a fabulous list! I shall live vicariously through you as you check them off!
(provided you still have a blog or send postcards!). I am impressed! And you are just plain fun!
Thanks for sharing. I would love to see the wonders of the world. To even be bilingual would
be awesome - but 5+ languages? You are amazing. Awesome Blossom.

P.S. Your best chance of kissing under a shooting star might be in August/September
I saw 3 in a row on three different nights - 9 in 3 days.....I made wishes for some thoughts
people who were sick (at least one came true).
Posted by  vestigesofhermind  on 2009-11-02 13:50:01

Thanks, Vestiges and thank you for letting me steal your idea. =)

There is so much I wish to experience that I could easily write a list of a 1000. lol. As I mentioned to Ashley being multi-lingual is a bit of a cheat with Danish, Norwegian and Swedish being very similar.

What a wonderful soul you are, such a selfless wish! =)

I'd have to find someone who was willing to kiss me first. ;)

Good grief - I'm exhausted and that's just reading it.

That was just the first fifty, Elaine! Hopefully I shall have a long life and not have to rush obtaining each goal. =)

Bia.... my door is always open so come and visit Australia ASAP!

The Great Barrier Reef awaits us and while there, you can bungee jump in the Daintree forest in northern QLD, run a full marathon down to Adelaide and go cage diving with the Great White sharks, Sky dive over to Victoria..... find the man of your dreams and share that kiss under that shootong star.

What are you waiting for? I'm sure you could fulfill much of your bucket list here. We have some gorgeous Aussie men too! *wink* xo :)
Posted by  Kaybee  on 2009-11-02 18:13:26

LOL! I love your way of thinking, Kaybee! I'd come to Australia just to visit you and your family, and remember I even volunteered to weed your garden. =)

All the pictures and docos I've seen on Australia are absolutely gorgeous, stunning scenery...and the men weren't bad either. ;)

A magnificant list Blossom. It shows you to not only be vibrant but also a beautiful young lady on the inside as well as the outside. As a mature, collected 18 year old you have a very bright future ahead of you. (:

Wow *blush* thank you, NoteToLily, your words are far too kind. =)

A few friends of mine have all ready trekking in Nepal, some several times, and they have told me how awesome it was and how warm and generous the people were. It's something I've always wanted to do. Thank you for your kindness. =)

noone made one single crack about the three body problem? Really? Seriously.....

Physics were never my thing, more a philosophy student myself, but the "three body problem" (or.... theory to be sure) is rather advanced and I wouldn't think a lay student would even ponder its complexities... I'm impressed. (and mildly shocked I still haven't turned this comment into something perverted).

Is this a serious contender on your list or was it added to see if anyone would notice? I noticed. I'm begining to think you're our own version of a modern renaissance woman
Posted by  tonyrayhutchison  on 2009-11-03 07:56:10

I expected a comment that would at least mention a ménage à trois in relation to the three-body problem, Tony, I'm disappointed at the lack of perversion. ;p

Besides the lack of pervesion, I could hug you right now! I'm also surprised that no one made mention of having something so obscure on my list...Maybe you were the only one who realised what it was (kudos to you on that), though I can't believe, ADH, doesn't know.

It is a serious contender on the list, Tony. I'm showing my nerdy side...behind this dumb blonde facade lurks a mind that is interesting in the most unlikely things. =)
Posted by  Blossom  on 2009-11-03 12:44:52

*clears throat* ehem ehem...... the only problem I see with your three body problem doll, is that you didnt invite me and LG;)

(is that better?:p) dumb blonde you are not. Indeed
Posted by  tonyrayhutchison  on 2009-11-03 22:25:25

I know you will achieve most of that list - good luck
Posted by  puck  on 2009-11-03 08:22:01

Thanks, Puck! Now all I need to do is say alive long enough. ;)
Posted by  Blossom  on 2009-11-03 12:45:51

I agree with puck, much of your list is within your grasp and none of it is impossible for you! Awesome, balanced list by an awesome young woman! xo

Thank you, Miss Ellie! Your words are far too kind. =) Perhaps it is a good thing I didn't post the remainding fifty. lol.

By some of the entries on this list, I can tell you are still very young:P In fact, YOU ARE. But, like a reigning princess heir to the throne, you have droves of subjects standing before your castle here. I stand toward the back with a hint of jealousy. I may walk away at any moment:P

But, getting back to your youth...you write this far too young. A list for what to do before you die? You can't even see over the mountain yet. You are still a young sprout even if you have achieved things many here have not at an older age. Seasoned, gorgeous and bright you may be...but still you have much to learn and grow before you plan for the descent into old age. Some of these entries seem half-baked. Wishful thinking...but not fully envisioned. Like finding the loved one, having kids, etc. You do not say you want exactly anything...just some of that. That sorta makes the list weaker.

1-3, 5, 11, 25, 30(though not sure about the lessons part), I am so there with you:) I can just smell the fresh air and sunshine.

4, you probably will hear you do every day you write something here and the people shout "aves" at you:P

6, no way. Sky diving(41) sounds much more appealing than trusting some cable on my ankle as I drop 50 ft or so. What fun is that? I'd rather play in a ball pit with ya:P

15, too risky. But, I share the fascination with sharks. I'd say it's better to go find a nurse shark or something in safer waters and ride her big back like a dolphin than just hop in any ol' cage and drop into dangerous waters just to throw bloody meat at some predator. That's like going to Jurassic Park and feeding a T-Rex just to see it go mad and hopefully not eat me.

16, I have mixed feelings. I would probably go mad with jealousy and go crazy looking at you on that CD cover...but I'd also probably be one of the best people to help put it together:P As long as your idea/taste in music matches mine. Sounds like a fun project!
[As for the novel....gosh, how many of us are writing them??? I still think too many books on a shelf, unless you find some real serious bookworms, won't get the right appreciation. Music seems more universal and heard.]

17, will you be on my movie making team?:) Maybe we could work together. I would have this entry on my list multiplied:P You look at the movies they make these days...and I hear that American movies are still better than any other country...and you just want to get your hand in there. Make something amazing that will never be forgotten.

18, yea...good luck with THAT one. If you can do that, you are probably already some billionaire celebrity. I don't know why people flock to Africa for such things. Don't you realize that every nation has its share of poverty and suffering people? Africa is just the most played up place on the planet, I think. And, much of what causes the poverty and whatnot is overpopulation. People don't realize that the more bodies there are to feed...the more management is required...the more opportunity some money-grubbing scumbags can move in to take over and enslave the populace! The way I see it, let Africa raise Africa. We don't need to be American rescue groups going in there and making big changes and pitching it as help when it may not be all that great. I could go on with this and ramble and argue:P

22, Why is Latin more important than any other language? I want to master ALL languages by coming up with something that allows us to speak with people all over the world WITHOUT learning the language or having a person to translate all the time. That is one piece of technology we need...and hopefully won't find a way to abuse/misuse.

24, not a fan of mountains as much. But, if there is a path I can hike without needing cables and such, I may try one. I prefer to appreciate their beauty from the base...but once I get too close, THEN I have the need to climb and be on top:P

26, so...you basically want to travel to every corner of the world(28). You want to be Joanie Quest:P If you hooked up with Angie Vv, I am sure you two would be like the international Charlie's Angels and turn me into the Incredibly Envious Hulk. I, for one, can't see much enjoyment in going to Antarctica other than to go down there and say I was there:P But, think of the ice caps. I fear too much tourism down and up may burn away that which is there. News crews already upset me for making little big scenes at such places just to say "Hey! We are here for a one day show! Spare no expense! Not even worry about the environment!"

Yea, I'll admit I didn't see anything naughty in 36...and shocked that you share this with tonyray that way.

I like the shooting star idea:) But, in the rain is as if not more appealing a plan. Again, not really a bucket list thing...but something I'd want to do more often.

34, don't really care. But, it is among the many secrets of the modern world to which I would like answers.
