Are you being poisoned? Before you answer too quickly…think about the effects of poison and examine your life. Poison makes you feel sick, weak, weary, confused. Poison can cause blurred or loss of vision, slurred speech, poor appetite, weakened immune system, sluggishness, mood swings.
You can contract a poison in different ways – it can be inhaled, injected, rubbed on or stepped in. It comes in different forms – solid (the walking, talking dream killers and stealers), liquid (the continual and perpetual pouring of whiny, whimpy excuses and lame but loud swishing and swirling of obligations in your mind that keep you from focusing on and fulfilling your destiny), gas (the stinky exhaust of failures, frets and woes of yourself or others).
There are some poisons, however, that we contract willingly and we get settled with the symptoms. We manage them…but we don’t seek a cure or maybe we are just not willing to take the cure. I discovered I was being poisoned.
Some of those poisons I’ve allowed to hang out and hang on my life are fear, guilt, procrastination, faithlessness, anger, bitterness, resentment, envy, and mistrust. Those are the ones I’ve identified thus far. I didn’t take the poison all at once, so I’m pacing myself to remove them from my body (and their effects), one by one, for a sure and complete recovery.
I think I’ve been living with my poison(s) long enough. They haven’t thrilled me and I refuse to let them kill me. The funny thing is, I’ve had the cure a long time…it’s my faith. But how many of you know that faith, without works, is dead.
Are you being poisoned – voluntarily or involuntarily? Are you overmedicating or self medicating, or simply trying to treat the symptoms and not the source?
It’s time to get healthy – mind, body and soul, so I can get about the business of living. No more foreign and toxic substances will be allowed to cripple and hinder me. I am daily choosing to forego poison and practice faith.
These are a few mind renewal instructions I’m taken to facilitate my cure:
My Father has not given me the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Hence, now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1
Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only. James 2:17
Without faith, it’s impossible to please the Lord. Hebrews 11:6
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one be deprived of the grace of God, that no bitter root spring up and cause trouble, through which many may become defiled – Hebrews 12:14-15

In order to remove the poisens, we must fill the voids, the sure cure is "Son Filled"
We are all a work in prgress that never gets completed, this makes life so great!
