Fellow Indians need an overhaul of Indian Polity

Time has come.

We need change.

Change in the political system, political class and politics in the second largest democracy of the world and in the second largest populated country of the world.

Change in the country of Ram, Krishn, Buddh, Mahavir, Nanak, Azad, Bhagat Singh, Ashfaq, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Bismil, Bose, Gandhi, Tagore, Tilak, Vivekanand, Ambedkar and all the unnamed who symbolised the freedom movement during last century.

Change in the country which belongs to us.

The country has been run by goons of all kinds. The self-interest preceeds national interest. Country comes the last. Everyone has become selfish and self-centered. Money is the Mantra. If you have money, you have everything. An old saying "If Wealth is lost - nothing is lost, If Health is lost - something is lost and If Character is lost - everything is lost" has no relevance in today's India.

We have become a characterless, careless, callous, crafty and corrupt society. Human life has no value. Relations have no meanings. The political class, the bureaucracy, the police force, the celebrities (in glamour & cricket world) and the goons have become self-imposed first class citizens and the rest of the populace has been pushed to live life as second class citizens.

There is no governance. Be it on roads, in government offices, in police stations and in courts. We have no place to go. There is no social security, no physical security. Raised voices are maimed immediately. One can get away with the rarest of rare crime if one has money or muscle power. Everyone is on sale, has a price tag.

To make India once again, Sone ki Chiriya, I and you should come forward and put our best endeavour in overhauling the current political system. To realise the dream of making "a strong charactered, fair, free and responsible society", I exhort all like minded Indians from all parts of the world to start the movement to break-free ourselves from the clutches of greedy politicians and give our generations a bright, strong and reliable INDIA.

We face these problems all over the world. Might I recommend you do the opposite of what is normally done, and try to setup the infrastructure for a new government before trying to overthrow the old one. Then just have people transfer willingly to the new government, all the while using non-cooperation on the old. I think it would be most consistent with Ghandi's methods, and I would think that this would be workable especially in India. To lead with courage, example, and whenever possible non-violence. Choice, and superior ideas will go way farther than merely rallying people to grab a gun.
