Last night...SEC Championship - Tennessee vs. LSU. Who wins? LSU. 21-14.
So what does that mean now?
Georgia got booted out of the SEC championship by Tennessee's win, leaving Georgia to sit and, well, wait. Last night's games brought Georgia fans to the edge of their seats. Oklahoma vs. Missouri ended 38-17 [Oklahoma]. Pittsburgh vs. West Virginia, a pretty interesting game might I add, ended 13-9 [Pittsburgh]. With both Missouri and West Virginia's losses that leaves a place for Georgia to get into the National Championship. But with LSU up there with them, who will it be?
Personally, I'm crossin my fingers for Georgia.
In other sports news...Navy rolled over Army ending 38-3. Talk about a game!
Also...a guy in Florence, Italy, a Macau casino mogul to be exact, bid $330,000 at an auction for a giant white truffle that was dug up in Tuscany. The man's name was Stanley Ho and the truffe weighed 3.3 pounds.
Is that even worth $330,000?!?
Apparently this thing was found by a truffle hunter and his dog and is unusually heavy. It also tops Guinness's current record for a 2.86 pound white truffle found in Croatia.
And what is a truffle anyway??
They are prized in Italy, especially the silver and white ones, for the use in pasta sauces and rice dishes.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, a truffle is the dark or light subterranean fruiting body of several European ascomycetous fungi.
Oooook...I still don't think I would pay $330,000 for one!
